After 2 days of somnabulistic coma, I seem to have recovered from my "3 exams in 39 hours" ordeal,
I feel refreshed and ready to be productive again.

I was able to sleep in until 9am - that's always nice

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Snow day!
The roads are a mess, and for once all schools in the municipality are closed (rarely happens) so I figure it's excuse enough to call in.

I'm done with over 75% of my Christmas shopping.
Now I can enjoy my Jagatee in peace...

I had the most hilarious afternoon with my mother. She was telling me that it took her 2 hours to get home from work last Tuesday because she offered to help a disabled man with a broken down mobility scooter! She had to push him up a hill! Then I went to help her with the laptop and broadband she has had for a couple of weeks. She didn't use the wireless hub installation cd because the instructions said to "insert the cd into the computer" and she has "a laptop, which isn't a computer"!! So, despite paying for broadband for the last few weeks, she has been accidentally using her neighbours WiFi. It makes you realise how much technology stuff our generation has simply absorbed.

An awesome surprise-party yesterday!
I really have best friends in the world...
Although I must say I'm a bit scared now that I know they're all such skilled liars... I didn't suspect anything! Even Mr. B, whose nose always turns red when he attempts to lie, managed to keep a straight face for the past two weeks...
Oh, I love them all sooooo much...

I found a palaeolithic flint hand axe the size of my hand at work on friday.
I went out to check out a site where foundations are being dug for houses, and found it in the upcast spoil, along with flint cores and flakes - it's really nice black flint, and is in exactly the same condition as when it was lost or discarded, 10,000+ years ago. It's definitely the largest flint tool I've found, even if one corner is broken off. (which is prob'ly why it was discarded in the first place.)
It's making me happy today too!

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.
