We move house a week today!

(Could also be in messing with groove thread because stress, but I'm taking the positives!)

We get away from the ghastly neighbours and into what we're very hopeful will be the forever home. Can't wait.

Now we're playing the game of "How many days out is too early to start the comfort marathon of Detectorists?"

A rewatch of Detectorists is neither early nor late. A rewatch of Detectorists arrives exactly when it means to.

Last night was clearly when it was meant to arrive.

Pub?

Table plan done (I think)
Only took me an hour and a half?
Thank fuck everyone we invited wasn't able to come, that was enough head scratching as it was.

Outside of physical labour to get the venue (a shed on the farm) ready the admin side of stuff is basically wrapped. So glad we got married during lockdown and we're only sorting the party now, not the double whammy of church wedding and reception.

We're in our new home :)

The move day was a bit of a mess (nobody's fault, just a series of things outside of everyone's control adding up to not being fully moved in until gone 6pm), but after a couple of days blitzing furniture and boxes it feels very peaceful and comfortable already. Here's to new adventures!

Investors should expect a stock market rally this week amid two big catalysts, according to Fundstrat's Tom Lee.

Lee expects solid earnings from Nvidia and dovish comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell at Jackson Hole.

There are 2 big catalysts that could spark a stock market rally this week, according to Fundstrat (yahoo.com)

Fundstrat's predictions have been on fire (in a good way) so I moved a bit more than previously planned from ultrashort treasury ETFs these last few days based on their recommendation in anticipation of Nvidia earnings today... half-expecting their run of luck to run out, but:

Was just about to say, 'Naturally right after I told you all about it Fundstrat's amazing lucky streak finally ended' as hawkish Fedspeak overwhelmed the euphoria from Nvidia's earnings... but no, after being down earlier, the market's up today! So we'll see....

Wife is settled in her new job and just reached second payday. Life feels good again. We went out for coffee yesterday and it was great.

The Bull is rising from its too-long slumber!
Its network of shining horns extends to sunder
All the inefficiencies that were
Too long mistaken for the souls of us.

Thanks all and sorry for delayed reply - she's doing call handling for the DWP pension line. Not exciting, but also not stressful. Easy money, work from home. Has caused some challenges as I am also primary WFH so we've had to set up so that we don't cause data issues but it's been kind of fun working that out.

Related: I am finally in a position to finance a gaming/streaming PC, just need to make sure I have the £250 deposit Overclockers want and then I can pull the trigger on it. Means my home office (which is already kind of stupid) will need a rejig but that's half the fun for me tbh!

I'm glad she can do this. Lunch time walks will be fun.

Huh, the shock here is how few of us were shocked. More like "Pessimism confirmed".

The Wobblies have been shite for years. Now they're just more shite.
Rugby Union is almost gone in this country these days, hardly anyone watches it. There's supporting your team when you know they are trying, but the half-arsed performances they are putting in doesn't deserve my eye time.
