I am happy to have a place here on this forum. Seriously, you all have supported me one way or another through some of the worst moments in my life and truly helped me get through it all. Thank you.

We need a thread for things that are both making you happy and messing with your groove simultanously.

I have submitted an applcaition for my first Solo, Adult apartment. I will be living alone for the first time in my life, no family and no room mates. I will be furnishing for my place for the the first time. What a headache buying and budgeting furniture is!

I will be in the centre city of philadelphia but have been forced to give up in unit laundry for the far inferior in building laundry, in exchange though Ill have a pretty good view from the 19th floor, a great location and a modern kitchen and what is hopefully just enough space in a 1 bedroom apartment to be comfortable as I work from home Full time

Got my second dose on Saturday and had no side effects from it. Was worried since most people my age has been bedridden the day after. Sadly, feeling great is not a valid reason to skip work...

I took the next 5 days off work.

Not counting weekends, I think I’ve taken 2 days off this year. So 5 days off, with dnd on Sunday, is gonna be awesome.

Awesome possum and cool beans, the highest peaks got a dusting of snow last night. Should I have a pumpkin spice latte to celebrate? Sadly the highs are going to be back into the mid 90s, and will stay there for the next few days according to short term forecasts.

And also this.

Today, I had my last day at a job I've been at for ten years. Also, looking at a couple of apartments on Thursday. I've never lived completely alone, either, and the prospect feels kinda scary. And also expensive as far as buying a whole new kitchen and stuff goes *sigh*

This is neat, never heard of them either. I'm ready for Darwin's Radio with a side of Magneto though. Get it over with already.

I finally have a job again. And it is remote work.

Nice! I've just applied for a different role seeing as my department isn't taking new work any more. All being well it's a remote one, don't see why it wouldn't be.

Agreed. Remote work is the way of the world now (unless the new solar tsunami fucks up the internet). Good luck on getting the new role.

Finally! Yesterday drive home temps were in the mid 70s. It felt good. I hope we are turning now into autumn temps and can leave the 90s until next year.

Have you ever had a colleague who you dislike so intensely that it becomes a serious barrier to your day and quite unhealthy that you can't get passed it? Well today I found out that person has handed in their notice. I am celebrating big time.

I mean, it's alright....but then I live here, so it's kinda boring for me.

Doing anything fun? There's plenty to do while you're here.

If you go, take Justin Bieber with you.

I don't think that burn is as relevant anymore though. Who is the more contemporary pop star from Canada who has relocated to America and is polluting our greatness with poncy pop hits?
