Welp, signed a new lease on Thur, got the first payments today, new tenants are moving in on Thur (it was the first day the elevator wasn't booked yet).
Looks like 5 months of headaches are now over.
Now I'm gonna start going outside more after work, work on my shots on a nearby school net,

Man, things were abuzz with summer time activity this Saturday - lawn mowers sounds coming from all directions. Traffic heavy at Home Depot for weekend projects. BBQ smoke this evening. Feels good. Of course we're supposed to get snow Monday/Tuesday.

Second time was the charm. I sold my apartment, for roughly £20 000 above asking price. It feels absurd almost, in 6 years the value of this place have doubled. I would have felt rich if not for the knowledge that all this money will go straight into our new and bigger loan.

Bought a pair of Jabra 75t Elite ear buds and I'm really impressed with the things. I know that Bluetooth ear buds have been around for a few years now but I wasn't really interested in trying them out. I was sure I'd lose them first time I tried them out but I finally caved after destroying my latest set of corded headphones.
There's something really futuristic about carrying small wireless speakers around in your ears that can block out sound and take phone calls.

Welcome to the hearing aid revolution - in full swing since the 1960s.

I know. It's pretty cool. One of my older colleagues uses hearing aids and is often using it to play music. You don't notice it at all except when she mentions it.

Just remember to buy power bars
I have adapters to stream my cell phone, land line phone, home computer, work computer and TV to my implant, all of which run on rechargeable batteries. Along with the implant processor batteries, remote microphone (useful in meetings) and drying kit, I am always charging things. You can never have enough power bars.

Have you seen those running headphones that don't even go in your ear? They kind of sit on your temples just next to your ears. The sound quality is phenomenal and it doesn't have the uncomfortable feeling that in ear pieces can give you.
I imagine there's similar technology for hearing aids?
Here's some for an example:

I don't trust any earbuds that don't hook around my ear to not fall out.
Should be getting my new JVCs today, unless Amazon lied to me.
Also, put down a chunk of cash on Kickstarter for a new Android 11 keyboard phone. Since there's been no recent news about the new BlackBerry, felt like a right thing to do.

I think this is more of a southern thing but we call cicadas locust and locust grasshoppers. Anyhoo the locust(cicada) are starting to show up and it's always hilarious to me when those bastards are on the house walls outside because my mutt absolutely loves to eat those damn things. I walk with him and point them out to him. Nom nom nom he then goes.
They actually make a satisfying crunch. Sometimes they scream.
They actually make a satisfying crunch. Sometimes they scream.
'Full of protein, gluten-free, low-fat and low-carb, cicadas were used as a food source by Native Americans and are still eaten by humans in many countries.
[...] "They have a buttery texture, a delicious, nutty flavor, probably from the tannins, from the roots of the trees on which they fed," [...] "And they're going to be really good with a Merlot."
[...] In America, "We're kind of the weirdos: 80% of the world's cultures eat insects, but we're in that 20% that thinks it's an abomination."'

The crunch makes them 'the croutons of the sky'... No actually that's june bugs apparently:
'Historically, the Bear River people in northwestern California ate fire-roasted June bugs. Today, many people collect adult June bugs from lights or dig larvae from the soil for recipes. They crush them and bake them into biscuits, sprinkle them onto salads as "croutons of the sky," [...] or even fill cooked larvae with cheese and wrap them in bacon'

June Is Coming....
In all seriousness I do hope I'll be able to buy some cicadas on Amazon. They had locusts last summer I bought for my coffee salad soup, but they've been out of those for a while (plenty of crickets and grasshoppers though)...
