Father-in-law is FINALLY home from hospital after breaking his ankle April 1st. He had to remain in hospital due to being overweight and could not weight bear on his other leg to help the break heal after surgery...so we've been stuck for 3.5 months looking after my ill MIL and could not leave town for any period of time.

With him home, we FINALLY get to head up to the cottage this weekend for the first time this year. Get the kids out of the city and just enjoy some sunshine, quiet, and the lake views.

I’m relaxing at the cottage, one kid is sleeping, one kid is quietly watching her iPad, my wife is napping, and I’m sat on the deck in the sunshine with a frosty beverage re-reading MIDNIGHT TIDES a mere 2.5hrs from where Steve and ICE took that one photo of the dig they met on.
