That being said, I am unfittingly happy that I have managed to repurpose a useless present from work as a Christmas present for my mom. She is going to get a fancy and modern-looking cube-shaped decorative vase. Good quality. Real wood. Yadda yadda.

I assume she doesn't frequent this forum :unworthy: :p

My coworkers gave me lots of booze and chocolate for Christmas. Clearly they think my sin is gluttony.

Life is good, met a girl. A little palestinian girl.. she likes guns and shooting, she loves hiking.. camping and the great outdoors.

Not super nerdy, but .. one of the most wonderful things about women is she just wants to know more! Her politics are amazing too! Her main reads are history, Arabic in particular and just a different set of the world then me.

She is a really really great human being... honestly you know when your lucky just to cross paths with an amazing person..

This. This is what life is about. Honestly just happy to cross paths.. been a moment for me. We are going to a cowboy bar and I will show her a good time. Surprsingly.. I know how to dance.

Early clock-off today because Christmas. Being a fee earner has perks it seems. Then not in until a week today with loads of time off in-between to game and write.

About to bug out from work for the Holidays. Always a good feeling to head home with the knowledge that I'm off for a week or so.

home at 4 PM after stuffing myself at a company xmass lunch.

Ready to enjoy my 4.5 days of holiday break (then 2 days of "work", followed by another 4 days off), and spending the holiday gift card I got from my bosses.

Life is pretty good right now.

My feet are half-solid ice, but I managed to find (and haul home) good gifts for both parents. Day well-spent

Spotify Premium's Discover Weekly feature finally paid off for itself.

It suggested me a French R&B artist. I actually like the sound/voice, and I understand about 60% of the lyrics, which means this amy actually help me in my eternal quest to improve my French.

Good thing to happen on the brink of New Year (and yet another inevitable attempt from me to read more in French to try to improve that language skill)

My friend's husband makes furniture and is making me a bespoke bookcase, a big chunky rustic style thing. He's also carving me some quotes in runes into it (I dunno, it just tickles me that I and very few other people will know what they say).

After the mega family Christmas marathon I am finally alone. In Swansea visiting the "in laws". We can't stay at Mr Pigdogs mothers house so have rented an apartment for the weekend. Poor little me has to stay in with the sprog while he goes out to visit his family. The hardest part is hiding how happy I am with this set up. He endured 8 days of my mother and in return I get to sit in watching TV on my own! And all because he's allergic to his mums dog.

I did my usual Boxing day/week wandering tour today, where I randomly wander between stores, not really needing to buy anything, just looking out for any extraordinary deals.

Canada Computers had this ridiculous water-cooled gaming desktop set-up.... for $9k CAD. With a sticker "Financing Available".

I instantly felt better about my life knowing that no matter what small issues I might have messing with my groove day-to-day, nothing in my life can possibly be bad enough to make me want to forget it by splurging on smth like that.

Chicken noodle soup. Yes, again.

This time my hangover's not quite banished yet, but aside from the headache, I'm certainly feeling way better.

Won our first playoff game 6:1. I scored the 2nd goal, which is the first goal I've scored in a game since.... summer of 2014? I think?

Anyhow, feels good.

It’s still crazy cold right now at 27 but thank goodness there is no wind to speak of. I had to just go inside last night and put my fire out early due to the 10mph north wind cutting into my bones. Tonight should be lovely stargazing time. Sirius is directly overhead now beaming steady blue light. Jupiter and Mars are beginning to rise(7 mins from each other) just shortly after I go to bed so in about a month they should be visible steadily for me. Gonna be cool seeing them that close to each other. May stay up an hour later so I can try to see them top the trees tonight.

It will be -13 on Saturday here.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
