That sounds pretty cool. I won Horse of the Year once. It was a bittersweet honor, but ultimately I took the hint and stopped stealing sugar cubes.

We beat Kosovo in the qualifiers.
So nerve-wracking.
My co-workers all called it an early day, but I couldn't go home, b/c I have to go to a party downtown in the evening.
Ended up streaming the game. A total roller-coaster, but we won. I'm still shaking.
Now off to buy booze, something for the pot-luck and then gonna start the long weekend in style!

My brother's coming down from up north (well it's the midlands, but everywhere north of Watford is north for me lol) for a few days tomorrow, got us tickets to see Dragonforce in Camden on Friday - last time I saw them was at Bloodstock and their set was cut stupidly short for some reason, so this should be better - because it was his birthday just the other day. Don't see him very often any more so I'm pretty stoked.

Thoroughly enjoying my new job. Much less stress, flexible hours, no stupid sales pressure, can have a yarn with colleagues while working, not standing all day, no suit and tie. Pay is better too.

My brother got his first job so we all went out to celebrate. Good food in large amounts eaten in the company of the people you love is one of life's greatest joys.

Finally, for the first time since late August, I was able to go to the pool tonight.
I've been trying to get back into it since I got back from vacation in late September, but life kept thwarting me.
Happy to see I can still pull off 2 clicks in 50 min. feeling the good kind of exhausted, and I should be well on the way to finally shedding the extra weight I picked up from the trip (and all the delicious European beer), as well as all the birthday-related festivities.
