Just bought an awesome blu-ray collection of all my favourite Hammer films.

It's arranged like a book and includes a bonus documentary full of 'the making of's and interviews including one with Christopher Lee.

And I found a dvd copy of Roger Corman's The Masque of the Red Death starring Vincent Price.

Also, someone at my local JB Hi Fi has my sense of humour -

Shower beer.

I've enjoyed a beer in the shower on many of an occasion. I thought I was the only one.

I'll just leave this here...

Is this an American thing? Hot shower, frosty cold beer. Mmmmm. Love love love.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I mean, not every day or it loses its specialness. Usually whenever the wife and kids are out of town.

I feel sorry for the La La Land guys but it's pretty much an allegory for most POC victories- always has to be overshadowed by something else. Warren Beaty will have more articles written about him than Barry Jenkins or Tarell Alvin McCraney.

Follow-up with my specialist.

No longer need physio- that's a plus.

Since I already developed some osteoporosis, it's not odd that I don't have full extension- it's supposed to take longer. Plus I got prescription for a splint to regulate and basically force-push the joint open. Hopefully the insurance will cover it.

The upshot is, of course, that it's theoretically possible to get a full recovery, as long as I work on it,

I had a day out being a professional type person. Feels like such a treat when few and far between but torture when you have to do it full time.

Still. I got to wear a new outfit and everything. *cough* not because I don't fit in any of my old work clothes *cough*.

Had my second baby today, a healthy baby boy.
They may cut your dick in half
And serve it to a pig
And though it hurts, you'll laugh
And dance a dickless jig

Congrats Sheve! :p

As for me, I'm happy because right now there's a bird chirping outside my window. Considering that it's February and normally very cold where I live, this is a rare ocurrence.

Also, my closest friend got a good job offer last night, so she's going to be moving onwards and upwards soon. I'm very happy for her because she really was fed up of her current job, but I'm also a bit sad because we've worked in the same building for close to 10 years (she was one of the people who helped train me, before she changed departments). It'll be a major adjustment for us; no more spur of the moment emailing to say "hey, wanna grab lunch today?", and so on.
I guess the word I'm looking for is bittersweet. I know our friendship will endure, and I am glad that the stars are aligning for her, because she's had a rough time of it.

ETA: Just as I finished typing this the bird stopped chirping. I wonder if that means I should move this to the "Messing with your Groove" thread, hahahahaha.

They are filming the hotel scene!

I mean, I didn't see them filming but I talked with one of the crew and he asked can you guess which scene we're filming?

I answered and he responded, "I can neither confirm nor deny." With a grin.

OMG I love Netflix.
