Had a lovely day de-stressing at falconry. Was just about to head out on my way home when owner goes "Oh Hannah, we're getting a new baby Harris Hawk in the next few weeks. It's yours."
WOOOO!
(For background, each staff member has "their" bird - they obviously belong to and live at the centre, but we get to help with the care and training of that bird specifically. Could not be more excited!)

Aaww you get to bring up a baby hawk! Somehow I never associated falconry with fluffy stuff. Have you ever worked with a peregrine?
We currently have a baby peregrine (technically, the peregrine is only the female and he's a male, so he's the tiercel) who is doing super well - only about fifteen weeks old. They're very difficult to raise though.
Hawks however are pretty laid back. I won't do the full hand rearing process as I'm only there once a week, but when there, I get to handle and train it
At what stage do you train it to pluck out your enemies' eyes?

Why didn't I think of this? Now I want a hawk trained for this. One with nice long talons....ooooh yes, so many eyes to get. I have a list

My fantasy football team did really well this round, and I am almost out of the bottom placing in the office league. My main problem is that I know next to nothing about the players of the premier league (or any other league) and have built a team entirely on the statistics of the last three years. Turns out that's not an excellent strategy, but this round it worked out well.

I should have just started with Zlatan like every other person in the office.

The most interesting Pokémon. Fierce, challenging, prone to following own whims, needs to stretch wings after a while being still. Zlatan is Charizard.

Very lucky to know this girl. Just keep being blown away by the strange and beautiful turns of the relationship. It's a funny dynamic, some conversations like today starting off as "yeah let's get together tonight" and ending the opposite, but others doing the reverse with nights of fiery passion. And it is working. It's straightforward honest and fluid. I feel like the relationship was designed for me.

Oooh, new season of Red Dwarf coming. Number XI!
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

So, my Dad and I went to see a couple of properties last night, one of which was a really beautiful flat on a cul de sac in a really peaceful little development….
…......and we just had an offer accepted to buy it! I'm on the road to moving out!! So happy

Well I got me a new job today.
It's still away from home but this time it's in the UK. Oxfordshire area.
I'll only have to work Fri, Sat, Sun and Monday. Then I get to see my fam for the rest.
It's also another F1 team which means I have made my time out here count and don't have to go back to some dive of a factory and feel like a corporate slave again.
At least not yet...
Sooooooo chuffed.
I feel so proud of myself there's an aura of Sin around me.
