Sounds good, what else would you do.

Was at a metal karaoke night on Thursday, second time I've been, pretty epic. Basically just got liquored up till I was alright making a mug of myself, then belted out Metallica Creeping Death with some guy I've only met twice. Was a good night lol

This has been one me better trips ever.amazing.

I got to be a dork and explore blacksmithing during the day.

I went to hole in the wall bars.

So I went to this punk dive bar. I started chatting with a girls x3. So much fun talking to random women. Guess what?? this random girl needed to vent and talk

I got to meet this totally amazing random girl. She introduced me to her close friends and it was a perfect night. Perfect.

How many times does this get to occur ????

Talking of Disney movies, I've seen the trailer of Pete's Dragon. I quite like like it.

It's never a bad time to karaoke.

On Fri, I broke a losing streak- my 4th team won a game(only one that week).

Had an amazing weekend with my parents and their friends camping. Much food and liquor was consumed, got to chill on the beach a bit and swim a bit

My Sunday team lost, but I wasn't there.
Came back late today, still mde it to my Monday evening game, and beat a team that my captain considers our "rivals" (some young Portuguese kids who showboat, gloat and talk a lot of shit when they win). Managed to win the game, hoping to keep the streak going this week.

Fresh watermelon juice. Watermelon is the only thing worth enduring the current weather, as far as I'm concerned.

Back home after 5 fricking weeks in cold, wet and windy South Australia. Warm again! :p

Had big cuddles with my little boy, a massive sleep and Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream for breakfast. :D

Probably not what RLY and you lot enjoying some mildly warm weather wanted to hear, sorry, but I'm just happy to be home.

On the downside, back is killing me from wearing body armour during the day and sleeping on the ground. I think I jarred it while carrying water jerrycans as well. I did the maths on how much weight I was carrying and no wonder I'm sore:
2 x 22kg water jerries (20 L capacity + 2kg empty)
12 kg body armour
4kg weapon

That's 60kg and I weigh 75 normally, I think I got down to 70 while I was out there.

Probably should have put the second part in the groove messing thread but I figured I'd keep it together as a single theme in one post. Save virtual trees and all that. :p

To illustrate how oblivious to things going on around me I can be, I was at a family gathering today, and had several relatives come up and congratulate me on having a photograph published in a national newspaper here in Ireland. It was only when someone there showed me a copy of the paper that I saw that a picture i took at work was approximately a half page spread across the back page. A small thing, but it made me happy none the less.

Baby has slept through the last 3 nights 9pm to 6am-ish! I've had proper deep dreaming sleep for the first time since before he was born.

I have bought a desk fan. I don't know why I never thought about buying one of these things. Suddenly the summer heat is only disgusting and not entirely insufferable.

Oh awesome! That's a great sign that he will stick to a longer schedule. My sister-in-laws first kid didn't sleep through the night for many months (but then, they made the mistake of being entirely too silent while she slept...making her the lightest sleeper ever)...but learned her lesson with her recent twins, both of whom are MUCH better sleepers.

Cross your fingers that my baby is as good as that sleep wise! :D

And you're all wrong, the best Disney movie is ATLANTIS.

I've lost 20 pounds since my diabetes diagnosis on July 13. At this point I'm doing it mostly with diet and walking and it is working. I know later it will get harder and more exercise will be needed. Right now though I'm keeps no my daily calorie count somewhere between 1000 and 1200 a day and making sure I hit 10,000 steps a day at least. I also cut out caffeine cold turkey because I read it causes blood sugar spikes.

Still a looooong way to go. I want to lose enough weight to reverse it or at least get off all medication, I want to lose at least another 130 pounds. That's a whole person but whatever. I have also found out that I narrowly avoided needing insulin shots so I am just taking oral meds.
