One of the guys at work reminded me of the Disturbed cover of SOund of silence today so i had to listen to it again, This makes me happy ;) I really hope they play it at Download in June because that would be awesome.

Song for reference

My first game somehow got re-scheduled to 2 hours earlier. I barely made it (outdoor practoce cut short). And we play with no subs and got killed 8:5.

But i'm happy, b/c now I am time to bike home and leave my bike home before coming back for my late game.

I spent three hours with my buddy up at the hospital yesterday. He's actually taking all of this well. He was laughing and joking the entire time I was there. I don't think I know anyone that is as happy to be alive as he is.

Well that is good news. A positive cheerful mentality is quite important for recovering from things like this in my experience.

Took the other half for a weekend away for his 30th, and we went to Northumbria. Stayed just outside of Alnwick. Favourite place was definitely Bamburgh Castle - it's beautiful.

Omg. It's great up there. A local haunt of mine.
Did you visit the book hall in Alnwick?
I could spend all day in there.
Hope you enjoyed it!

Our receptionist regularly offloads excess baked goods from home onto me (i'm the youngest full-time person in the office, so the consensus is I can eat the junk calories with minimum repercussions plus, the actual youngest is a teenaged female). This morning I got a cream-filled eclair to get my brain working after the weekend. A bit too sweet, but sugar on Monday morning= win

So damn close to being divorced. 3 more documents to be submitted with one requiring notarized signatures from both parties. Then I am free, finally.

Sorry Tatts, as much easier that would have made my life, I just don't roll that way. Believe me, I have given it a good thought and can't see a shred of gayness in me, as often as I have been called it.

It's been five days. I cannot stop talking to this woman I just met. It's effortless and it's wonderful. Here's hoping it goes on and on.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

50 years of UTexas research shows spanking has many of the same outcomes as abuse, to similar degree, and all detrimental. So basically it does the opposite of intention. Pretty interesting stuff.

IT'S A TRAP!

It was a delicious and delightful lunch date. Another type of get-together will soon occur. Very happy.

Aliens was released 30 years ago.

And so, my partner bought me the Aliens Anniversary Lootcrate.

I got the recent Mass Effect special edition lootcrate and it was pretty awesome so I'm pretty excited to see what the Aliens one comes with.

I've also spent the day playing 'facehugger' and 'chestburster' with my son.

I also brought our black ninja-cat, Kalam, inside to act as a xenomorph for my son and I to locate and destroy (by 'destroy' I mean throw a teatowel over him).

I also taught my son to say 'Stay frosty' and 'Game over, man. Game over!'

I plan on watching 'Aliens' with and without the commentary later tonight.

I was going to make chestburster cupcakes but Ripley and I ate all the cookie dough I was planning to model the chestbursters out of.

The only downside is that my son won't let me be Ripley. :) So I keep switching between being Hicks and Vasquez.

That might make us a little bit Southern since I have always wanted you to be my daddy.
