Ends in sex.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Had basically arranged a new job before Christmas only to find out there was a possible snag in terms of my eligibility. Had to wait until today for government offices to reopen, and clarify that I am indeed eligible. So now I just have to wait til tomorrow when the potential new boss gets back from his holidays, and hopefully it'll be all a go (and i'll be back in the land of employment doing video work again)
Fingers crossed.

Tooth issue turns out not to be a tooth issue at all, and was a "gum abscess" that formed due to the gum coming unattached from the very back of a top wisdom tooth. Not something I could have avoided apparently (wisdom's grow in so wonky that gum issues are bound to occur). She cleaned it and we are going to see if the gum tightens up...if not I'll have the wisdom out at that point.
VERY glad it's not a failed root canal!

Woot 3 nights straight in the 30's! I saw some amazing meteors the last 2 nights from the Quantirid storm. These were so slow moving so they actually lasted a few seconds and streaked the whole sky compared to fast Persids and Gemind storms.
These posts always make me hate you a little bit. For 2 reasons:
1. You are capable of staying up late enough to see these things.
2. The sky above you is routinely clear enough to see these things.
Every year with the geminids and persiods I think I'll try to stay up but then check the weather forecast and realise it's just not worth it.

Since I wasn't exercising after work since starting the new job (it's tiring, but awesome!) I've started getting up earlier and doing it in a morning. Feeling really good

You know it's been a long week, when you're in bed before 9 and excited about all the sleep you're gonna get.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Finished the openhanded part of my Wing Chun system today.
Capped off the last section of dummy form in class with 3 really senior students. A really good lesson. Just what I needed after the holidays.
I finished my 3rd form just before Xmas so I've got some knives and pole to learn now.
Fun times.

Just found out the open buy order on Royal Dutch Shell triggered. Thank you OPEC for keeping the taps open. And thank you to all my fellow Americans who are buying <20mpg vehicles in droves.

Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes. It's the only time each year those precious, overpaid, pompous, self-righteous wankers get told something they don't like hearing. Should happen on the other 364/5 as well.
