One of the strangest moments of my life was seeing a king cobra go swimming by in the road and my cousins not even caring one bit.

That's a huge snake and nobody cared. Something about the excess water calms everybody down and the snakes go about their business. In the dry season though, people freaked out about any and all snakes nearby.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

In the area where my girlfriend lives they are incredibly nonchalant about snakes. We had a date once and she called to say she was going to be late as a "10 foot snake has coiled itself around the gate". In the early phase of our relationship I was a bit freaked out about this but she assured me it was ok. Apparently when they bought the house, back when she was 6, the garden was totally overgrown and her father had to kill an average 10 snakes a day. She said "We used to wake up in the night to find 4 or so snakes hanging from the mosquito net." Compared to that the situation is way better now.

I realised right back then that she was special. I would have had a heart attack if I woke up to find a snake hanging over my face.

Smashed an interview for Senior Engineer at a well known Agricultural Engineering company local to me and now I am awaiting a call from the Managing Director to talk money, experience, doing a Masters in engineering, why I am suitable to be a Senior Engineer at 27 and all that Jazz. Will be the most important and scary phone conversation of my life to date! Apprehensive!!!

Working at my own pace. No fucks given. Tomorrow I start getting paid time and 1/2 halfway through my day while maintaining the same workload. Never have so many been paid so much for doing so little.

This. This will actually work, I think. She loves chocolate, after I persuade her it wont make her fat.

My wife loves to get cards, especially for no reason.

Get her a funny/goofy one and write something sweet, about how you'll try not to take her for granted or how lucky you are, she'll love it.

Also checking out those custom card companies that'll print you off a card with, for example, a picture of your partner wearing a Pikachu onesie and making a silly face, can get you a card they'll really enjoy. And then presumably they'll never speak to you again after.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I was able to successfully transfer from my current course to a new one without any penalties or cost.

The new course is already looking far more in-line with what I want. ;)

Yesterday I did the in-person audition for Jeopardy. I only did okay, but I did get some swag (that blue thing holds earbuds).

Plus I got to experience rush hour L.A. traffic. Who doesn't love that?

If I get on Jeopardy and do well, I will tell the board. If I get on Jeopardy and flame out, I will pretend I was someone else. If I don't get on at all, crisis averted.

Was wholly new to me. Could not have gone this long without dropping random cumsprite references otherwise.
