A family friend is graduating from college today. His nickname is "Charmander", which is one of the Pokemon.

I was tasked with the makings of a graduation card for him and came up with this.

I also bought a print from the original artist of the Tim Burtonized Pokemon, Vaughn Pinpin, whose store can be found at society6.com/hatboy
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I am counting the hours til I get home..My Dr. Strangelove, dvd is sitting in front of my house right now awaiting me. My last one strangely disappeared from my movie collection and it has taken me entirely too long to replace it. Woohoo!

I went out on a few dates with a woman who worked in the state water department - specifically in the division that handles the fluoridation of the water. Part of her job - as the last one hired onto the job - was answering phone calls regarding the people who objected to fluoridation of water.

That pushed this woman to become INCREDIBLE at handling whatever batshit insane thing anyone said to her and getting people to calm down and consider things in a new light.

But the point of my story is that to this day, FIFTY-ONE years after that brilliant movie came out (and many scientific studies performed), people still get really bonkers about fluoridation of water.

I'm putting together a playlist for my son's 2nd birthday party tomorrow and I'm listening to it as I make it.

Just had Vanilla Ice's Ninja Rap followed by the Darkwing Duck theme song, and now listening to Don Cooper's Saltypus. :headbang:

To this day, when someone asks 'What should we do?', I have to restrain myself from shouting 'CALL DARKWING DUCK!'

I bet she had some hilarious stories. Everyone should have at least one job dealing with Joe public. I still have flashbacks from the calls I had to answer at a nature park I worked at for a couple of years.
What do you mean bonkers? Studies funded by who, that's the question! hehe Posted Image

Mod Notice:

1. This isn't the place for over the top exultation that someone has been sentenced to death. It's ok to have an opinion, but use common sense regarding tone and language. The death penalty is obviously an inflammatory topic.
2. If you want to discuss the pros and cons of the death penalty then take it to the discussion board and keep it civil.

Just got back after a lovely week in Cornwall.
I have to say, to any Cornish malazites, you've got quite the county there. Pretty awesome.
Managed to get a lot of dramatic coastal scenery in, most of it natural and free!
The sheer abundance of beaches astounded me, it must be a dream during the summer months.
We had about 14-16 C all week so pretty good for this time of year.
Even manged to squeeze the Cheedar Gorge in on our way home, where I manged to get a Gluten Free Cream Tea. A true rarity.
Some drive back to Newcastle by the way.
500 miles in a day is a lot to us Limeys.
Glad to be back though, nothing like coming home.

Also
Clotted cream. That shit is dangerous.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Gluten free pasties were hardly ubiquitous either.
Eating out as a food freak is always a pain in the arse.
Still, fucking clotted fucking cream man.

Cream teas are decadent as all hell, it's true

My new place down is Sydney is pretty much set up now and is starting to feel like home, it is nice to have a home again (been living with my brother for 8 weeks and Luci and Shiki for a week before that)

Also, hello forum, it has been a while.
