I'm staying at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego. This place is amazing. It was built I think in the 1880's. So much history. Look it up, neat place.
I think this is where Xanth from days of forum past used to work. Too bad he's not still around ever.

been frantically searching my youtube history for an ambient group I remember was pretty awesome, couldn't find it... some random thought put the name in my head, and here it is! such an awesome feeling.

NEW COMPUTER!!!!! But Windows 8 is a bit confusing... Unless I want to use Bing and IE (which I definitely don't) it flicks to a second desktop which looks a lot like Windows 7... So... If I install Office on one desktop does it mean I can access it from both?

Get rid of 8. It is atrocious and deplorably useless.
For example, accessing you favourites in IE-not-run-from-the-traditional-style-desktop? Pretty much impossible. WTF. At least it was in the original version of Win8. Seriously, kill it with fire, it's worse than Mac OS and almost as bad for your blood pressure as Norton.

Feel like I totally aced this interview!
Had a 2 page tech exam on the end of it that was kinda cool, and had I not spent weeks keeping a dying machine alive probably wouldn't have done as well on.

Had a twenty minute long text conversation with Vengy last night. Really made my day because he not only gave me a bunch of laughs, but pointed me out sine good vacation spots.

Seriously, format your drive and install a proper OS on there. Because otherwise? In six months when you are about to throw your computer out the window (no pun intended), you will think back on this post and feel incredibly stupid.

One can but hope they're all free.
However, why bother fixing an inherently flawed, testbed, bugged, and soon-to-be-irrelevant, hybrid-interface system (because that bit there...that was always going to be the problem), when you can get an off-the-shelf sorted and stable OS which works how you like it to, and doesn't need "fixing" (i.e. patching to make it do what it should) OS for either a small sum relative to the cost of your computer or indeed, free, if you *ahem* happen to have one lying around somewhere?
I mean, really. Never mind the inevitable compatibility issues with said third-party products when either they stop updating them or Windows 8 starts trying to shut them out. >.>
