I gots a looong way to go, considering I haven't started the 1k+ page volume 1 yet....
and god knows when I WILL start... i'm about 2.5 weeks behind in readings for 3 classes (out of 6, so it's not THAT bad)...

I have to say, I'm particularly un-awed by Peter F. Hamilton. I've read the first 2 books, and got bored with the last one after about 100 pages. I really want to see how it ends, because it's a great idea, but the guy's characters are boring as fuck. And I completely disagree with his conviction that the best way for different cultures to get along is for them all to colonise a world/asteroid of their own and stick to it.

Don't fuck with the Culture.
