@Macros
It's called a tablet. Very recomended if you like to draw or paint :)
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

i prefer fake paper touch screeen thingy :)
I may look into one, I havent tried proper art in a long time, It could be dangerous though as most of my creative urges arrive on the tail of a lot of alcohol. if its cost permissable expect some randomly crap 10 min sketchs

I was looking into em.

You can get a low end one for about $80 at future shop here, but it's super limited and not really meant for high test stuff.

As you go up in price they get more sensitive to pressure...like more divisions of pressure between not touching the tablet and poking a hole through it. Makes for different lineweights apparently

The more expensive ones have more pixels on em too

And of course the obvious one: size. bigger size = bigger cost, exponentially...like TVs.

Read some reviews though. I think Wacom is ontop of the consumer market more or less. Their stuff is generally $100-200 for entry level stuff.

I've had a lot of experience with different Tablets, and unless you can produce near-professional quality art you will not notice a huge (if any) difference in high/low end tablets. Go for a low end one at first, get a wacom bamboo or whatever they're calling em now. They are perfectly fine for most kinds of digital art. If you can afford to, get a bigger one, ideally one that's as near to the size of the screen (or the area of the screen you use for drawing in) as possible. But anything is better than nothing, grab the cheapest thing you can find is what i'm saying here [edit]: unless it's some gimmicky kids tablet.

Ha ha, I just remembered that it was Flawed's pigdragon (above) that was the insprtation for the original 10 minute sketch thread on the old forums.

I'd rep you if I wasn't diametrically opposed to it.

You handsome devil

Oh and Spin that is hi-larious dude.

Thanks .

Thats " Mega Pig Dragon " to be precise chap ;o)

May give a scetch another go, perhaps a pigkarsa * muses *
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

that's sound advice.

It's like photography. A $600 digital slr camera is just as baffling and complex as a $4000 digital SLR camera to somebody that's never used an SLR camera before. You only notice the difference if you've used one and understand it in and out, then switch to the other.

That has the best expression!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

You guys complete me!

I love the fact that we have something going that is genuine cartoony art but also really funny. Well done to everyone. There was a tendency in the past for this to descend into abject shite but it's much better this time.

They're all good!

You guys still want a different colored text for your group? I can do that...

Is black an acceptable color?

Does this one blend enough with the others?
