I hope he stay's down, would cheapen the awesome sacrifice if he came back.

I feel the same way, though of course SE seems to enjoy bringing characters back, if not necessarily in bodily form. It wouldn't surprise me at all, but I wouldn't say I'm expecting it either. I am, however, positively giddy about the prospects of a 'Rake' Trilogy

It will be awesome to have a series centered around Rake with a possible PoV....but I'm more looking forward to finding out so much more about the all around Tiste history.

yeah i'd be just as happy w/ a whole mess of info on all 3 races. there are plenty of characters worth exploring--osserc, tulas, ruin, andarist, bloodeye, the original edur royal family, Father Light, etc etc. I liked Spinnock alot and figure he is a logical choice for some POVs in a trilogy like that.

Rakes soul was torn into pieces. Can something that was utterly destroyed become a god? I would think it would simply cease to exist in any form at all.

I don't think Rake could even become something like the Dying God/Bellurdan, since that was a pieces of him.

The question of course would be exactly what an Elder God like Mother Dark can do. Could she recreate a soul? It would seem like something to me that should be outside their realm of interference.

HE IS NOW CHILLING IN ANDII HEAVEN WITH ENDEST

END OF DISCUSSION

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
