"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

Here is my first go at rearranging my team, but when the transfer merry-go-round begins i'll probably change things.

1: Reina ©

2: Lescott
3: Dunne
4: Evra
5: Laursen

6: Young
7: Valencia
8: Nolan
9: Reo-Coker

10: Keane
11: Torres

subs
12: Gordon
13: Scharner
14: Kranjcar
15: Ashton

I have no real idea of how points are scored though, so this may be total bollocks. And if Keane goes to Liverpool i'll probably have to drop him, as Rafa likes to rotate so much, whereas at Spurs he's likely to play more regularly.

Happy enough with the keepr, and the backs should be alright, since they all play for defensive teams and each pop up with goals now and then (Man City should become much better defensively with Hughes in charge).
Midfield is where i tried to save some money, but went for players who are indispensable to their teams.
Strikers. Well Keane and Torres both should play regularly and grab goals.
Subs are all subject to change to balance my budget i think. We'll see.

It all seems to make sense, which is why i'll finish last!

I tried that last season and I hardly got any goals. My strikers were really bad the whole season actually. My points all came from defense and midfield.

I haven't looked at picking my team yet but I think getting a top 4 goal keeper is worth the cost. Reina got me sh*t loads of points last season. Most of my points came from Reina, Vidic, Fabregas and Ronaldo (with roughly Fabregas as my captain for the first half of the season and Ronaldo for the second half). All of my reserves were the cheapest in their position, no point paying for them if they're on the bench. Also, don't panic and incur point deductions by making extra changes each week. It's not worth it, you can change your team slowly over the season.

See, that's the reason I beat you. Our defence/ midfield were similar. I had James, Lescot, Fabregas and Ronaldo. But I had Anelka when he was playing brilliantly at the beginnig. I had Adebayor for that insane scoring streak. I had Benjani when he was scoring goals. Santa Cruz for quite a bit of the season too.

I have to agree with the transfer point. Point penalties just aren't worth most of the time. And the subs should be hilariously cheap, but from a side where they are likely to play so you can at least get a point or two if you need them.
Flying Monkeys definitely win.

My list will probably not even be rethought until just before the season starts.

Don't worry, it'll change a few more times before the season starts.

GK: Cech, Schwarzer
DEF: Clichy, Johnson, Corluka, Carvalho, Panstil
MID: Fabregas, Valencia, Young, Reo-Coker, Song
ATT: Agbonlahor, Torres, Alves.

Silence you, I needed a defender as cheap as possible, and 4mil for a 3rd choice sub is acceptable to me.

I was thinking of putting Pele in too... I even had Kitson in my team for about five minutes:eek:

Recent transfers (Bentley) have changed my team dynamic, so I think I might need to add some different players (Bentley...)

Having to spurs players in the starting lineup is a gamble for Spurs, never mind in a fantasy league!

Right, I'm in with Defenestrators. With downness shall you all go, when my mighty team hurl you out the window!
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Only a week left, and we have 26 players, looks to be a really good league this year.

Hedge - don't worry too much, I just made a load more transfers :)

I will read the league previews tomorrow and assemble a team of such heroic proportions that you will all be weeping at my magnificence by the end of the season! Just to give you fair warning.
