If they ever make a Malazan film, Kallor should be played by Samuel L Jackson.

And I just thought:
Kruppe == Nathan Lane
Lady Envy == Anjelica Houston (she needs to be classically beautiful (which IMO Jolie is not), statuesque, and slightly chilly.

Unless you were deliberately trying to re-open the old debate of "who is Traveller?", then there is a problem with your list.
Since you have Will Smith as Traveller and LAnce Reddick as Dassem.
I think Lance Reddick is perfect for Dassem/Traveller as he has that really steely gaze, and can easily portray a serious air of intensity (watch "The Wire" for proof).
And i think Michael Clark Duncan would make a better BARATHOL since he really is huge and intimidating, but can inspire empathy too.

Yes! He would be awesome as Kruppe, but he'll have to dye his hair

And Anjelica is waaaay to old to play Envy.
How bout America Ferrera as Silverfox?

The only character I ever imagined as being specifically one actor is Hannan Mosag - played by Patrick Stewart.
Bear with me, I know it seems like an odd choice at first. But it's all about the voice. Specifically, one of Mosag#s distinguishing features is meant to have benn this great speaking voice which entrances everyone, and let's face it, who could not say the same about Patrick Stewart? Plus he could certainly bring the gravitas, seriousness, and coolness this role requires.

and he looks kinda odd, with some make-up he would probably make a pretty good Hannan. Nice suggestion!

Tattersail == Dawn French!
You know it makes sense!
Sister Spite == Joanna Lumley!
Queen of Dreams == Jennifer Saunders!
Curdle & Telorast == voiced by Jane Horrocks!
Shadowthrone == Rik Mayall!
Caladan Brood == Adrian Edmondson!
Cotillion == Lennie Henry! (ok, the last two aren't really that serious)

for Kruppe- that fat comic that played Newman on seinfeld, (abosolutely perfect for rotund greasy self)
Also I think Chris Rock would kill as Quick Ben(just cuz he's little and kind of scrawny)

I'm definitely diggin' Lance Reddick for Quick Ben.
But Newman doesn't have the right feel for Kruppe I think...yeah just seem to fit to me.

Besides, Wayne Knight, the guy who played Newman on Seinfeld, has apparently lost considerable weight...
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

shit could have been played by David Carradine.....
(Jen'isand Rul, the Wanderer within the Sword)
'I am the Shield Anvil.' I am Fener's grief. I am the world's grief. And I will hold. I will hold it all, for we are not yet done. <Itkovian>
'We are not born innocent, simply unmeasured.' <Hull Beddict>
'Because a god visits her, Fist. He comes to break her heart. Again and again.'<Nether>
'Fucking dragon.' <Fiddler>
Take my breath. But not this one, not this one. <Apsalar>
'Aye.' It's a good word. I think. More a whole attitude than a word, really. With lots of meaning in it, too. A bit of 'yes' and a bit of 'well fuck' and maybe some 'we're all in this together.' So a word to some up the Malazans. <Sunrise>

I would had Dom DeLouise as Kruppe.
River T...I mean Summer Glau as Apsalar (besides the whole fishing village that Sorry/Aps came from reminds me of Asian fishing villages anyway).
I bit ago I would have agreed with Christian Bale as Traveller but I dont think I can handle a Batman-Traveller.
Daniel Day Lewis as Kallor
Bruce Willis as Whiskeyjack
the dude that plays Sayid from Lost as Kalam or Quick Ben
