Saw this photoshop, and a small part of me died inside.

RLY, you can't really distance yourself from Favre yet and give the guy a fair shot. Every Packer fan is too obsessed with number 4 to judge Rodgers right now. He's done a pretty good job of keeping his cool during this looooooooooooooong wait.

Rodgers has not been the perfect picture of professionalism.

Aaron Rodgers quote: “I don’t feel I need to sell myself to fans, they need to get on board now or keep their mouths shut.â€

Does he have a point? Yes. Was it smart or demonstrating professionalism to say it? No. Not going tto hold it against him though. He did apologize.

True, Manning once called Vanderjagt "an idiot kicker who got liquored up and went on television." Hehehehe.

He still hasn't sent in his unretirement card, so who knows. I vote that he join the Patriots, beats up pretty boy, and runs them into the ground. If he did that, he'd be my favorite non-Colt ever.

No matter what Aaron Rodgers does, the Packer's fans are going to give him a hard time. It's hard to let a legend go.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ran a doctored photo of Favre throwing a football in a #4 Bears jersey.

It was the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life.
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

I don't mean to make light of your misery but this "saga" has grown humorous. I mean...ESPN overdoes things...but this is going above and beyond "coverage".

Agree. Has become mockful. I feel the plight for the fans, but Favre looks like an ass in this thing. I wonder what his people (including friends and family) are telling him right about now.

Supposedly it was his family that urged him to come back.

I wish they would have convinced him back before it was too late.

You gotta let go sometime. The Packers have a good team w/o Favre, unless Rodgers is a total bust.

That's what makes this so wrenching. I had let go, and was moving on, ready to accept Rodgers with open arms. Now, eery bad play he makes, every game they lose, I'll be thinking about what if Favre had tried to come back sooner and was their QB.

But there's a chance Favre comes back and they SUCK. I mean...he could come back and just stink the joint up.

And this statement is why this whole saga is such big news. It's the Pack fans who are the only truly hurt party here. No matter what, Pack fans are going to wonder what if for just about everything. If Favre comes back and is like the Favre of 2 years ago... ouch. Anything less than a Super Bowl birth becomes second-guessable.

Favre could come back and suck. I would rather he not come back than see that happen, which is why I wasn't too bent out of shape when he retired. Everyone loses in this situation.

I've been missing playing ball since I called it to an end,
So I went out for some two hand touch with some neighbors and a friend,
As I passed the ball around, it felt so good, I think I found,
That number 4 could still play ball, so I gave the Packers one more call,
And said I've got good news, yeah, I'm coming back,
But they told me I was smoking crack,

They said never, but I'll play forever,
Never say goodbye, never say goodbye,
I'll find somewhere that I can play even if it's not Green Bay,
Say goodbye, never say goodbye,
Now Aaron Rodgers is the guy, but number 4 will never say goodbye,

I'm inspired by what some guys have done like when Jordan played for Washington,
Oh I hope that time's been good to me and I'm more like Foreman than Ali,
No, I've got no secrets unrevealed and I don't need cash like Holyfield,
I just want to find somewhere to throw even if it's for Bon Jovi's Soul,
Cause I've still got skills, I've still got game,
I'm not ready for the hall of fame,

Never, cause I'll play forever,
Never say goodbye, never say goodbye,
I'll find somewhere that I can play even if it's not Green Bay,
Say goodbye, never say goodbye,
Now Aaron Rodgers is the guy, but number 4 will never say goodbye,
I probably made John Madden cry cause number 4 will never say goodbye ...
What Would Jack Do ?

Favre interview tonight on fox sports. Should clear things up, at least a little bit.

He said he feels like he's not been welcomed back by the Pack. Brett Favre, drama king?

Quote

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had a medical procedure Monday to remove an infected bursa sac from his left knee.

Colts president Bill Polian announced the procedure, described as routine, on Monday night. Polian said the team's medical staff expects Manning to have "a full and complete return to action" in four to six weeks. Colts training camp begins July 25.

"Peyton had been receiving conservative treatment for an inflamed bursa sac in consultation with the club's medical staff since February 2008. This course of treatment was productive until Peyton experienced increased pain and early signs of infection," Polian said. "Peyton will meet with the press as normally scheduled at the opening of training camp."
