Jeez Grumble, did it really take you 40 minutes to type that?

And i agree btw. The Vikes must really not like their 2 other qb's.

Jackson showed some signs of improvement towards the end of last season, I'd have thought Childress would stick with him. Granted it was the sort of progress that a retarded gibbon would make once after having it's legs broken, but it was still progress nonetheless.

Vokes really should have gone for Leftwich. He was free, he's still young enough to have a good future ahead of him, and he can throw the ball long, which draws men off of AP. All they needed.

Sounds like his teammates don't like Brett all the much so far. Drama!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

All that is on Favres shoulders. If they're winning, those people will shut up. If they're losing, its gonna get worse.

Favre refused to go to training camp, then shows up after the first game - and plays terribly in the second preseason game?

How fabulous.

I don't think four pass attempts is a reliable sample size.

I don't think someone who avoids training camp, then shows up after saying they wouldn't is a reliable quarterback.

I don't think changing the subject instead of addressing my very valid original point lends any credibility to your argument. :)

Obdi would you like to try out to be a BEARS fan. I should warn you though we are very picky about who we let in to our elite club. Can you say Da Bears, Ditka is da coach. If so then you too can be a Bears fan. Then you can root against Farve all you want. :)

:)
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

B)

Who would win in a fight, Ditka or god?
Trick question, Ditka is god!

Anyway, we all get to watch the FAVRE experience tonight on monday night pre-season football. Yay! He is playing a full half (or he will get sacked on the second play and come out of the game).

Hmm, interesting now the crickets have spoken. I'd say Brett did his job Monday Night and if he plays like that all season, we're in good shape.

As for T-Jack. I can't believe anyone....anyone...outside his immediate family is actually saying that he is an NFL starting QB. Anytime Peterson isn't playing out of his mind or the defense isn't utterly vanilla he's hopeless.

He can't read defenses. He's the least mobile 'running QB' I've ever seen. And he needs the playbook kept to nubbins to be able to execute anything. His mechanics are still dreadful after 3+ seasons. He has no football IQ. And he has no accuracy.

Other than that, he's mediocre. The sooner he goes to Canada, the better for everyone.

Actually, I have been unable to get to the site because www.malazanempire.com/forums no longer opens up the forums, so I thought they were down for the upgrade all this time.

Brett didn't throw down the field at all. I still say both Sage and T-Jack are better than old Bretty-boy for the Vikings. Did you see him trying to throw interceptions 3 times while in the red zone and the defense refused to take them? I mean honestly...

Obdigore - Anti-Brett to the end.

Umm...he did throw the ball down the field to Harvin in the first quarter. Harvin bailed out on the route or he would've had a touchdown. Also, everyone seems to forget Berrian didn't play. Hard to throw the ball downfield when you don't have a deep threat, no?

T-Jack throws three interceptions a game. The problem with Sagaras Jackenfeld was neither could prove they wanted the job. And the job is bloody easy. Don't turn the ball over, please. There has been no progression in T-Jack's game ever. He's always looked like he might be good when you see him in preseason. We both know why; vanilla defenses and no blitzes. As soon as you apply any pressure to T-Jack or shift coverages once he gets deer in the headlights. I do feel Rosenfeld should've been given a longer look. But I didn't think he was the guy they should've acquired in the offseason to fix their problems either.

The bottom line is, I don't think signing Brett was the right move long term. The Vikes should've traded a draft pick (or even Chester Taylor) to get Jay Cutler. Or signed Jeff Garcia (who has a lot less wear and tear on his body and would play the kind of game they need). Or done something to get a long-term solution to the QB situation. But Childress doesn't care about next year even. He needs to get out of the Wild Card round this year or he's done. Given that, I respect Zigi for actually swallowing his pride enough to let Childress hang himself. Favre could very well work for this season. I don't think he gives the franchise stability at the position though.
