It's not menandore thinking, it's trull, see p87 UK HC, so as a source it's not reliable twisted as the edur history is, if it was menandore thinking it owuld be much more reliable. As for the true father thing, menandore is one of the three daughters of scabandari bloodeye in edur mythology, so he is who peopel commonly believe to ber her father, but her true father is osserc or another liosan.

Oh and I'd say it's quite likely that brother light is osserc, he is said to be dreaming in HoC, so he is probably stuck in one place.

Yeah I don't think that he was dreaming when he went and rescued L'oric and carried him to his tower and L'orics child hood bed.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

OK then, peep this. KL has no god right now. Osserc told L'oric that the realm would have to fend for itself, right? We know that Somebody(ies) had been worshiping the Deragoth by the altar Paran and Hedge found in the realm of death. What if SomeLiosan(s) have started making offerings to ancient dieties and found the HoL? We already know they are acustomed to making blood offerings from when they would petition L'orics familiar, right? Who's to say that maybe the HoL got a sniff of mortal blood and woke up? Like K'rul and the Errant?

Or perhaps the emergence of the Hounds of Light symbolize a new god having taken control of the warren?

Perhaps the hounds only manifest when a ruler calls for them? Conciously, unconsciously or whatever.

And one thing that confused me.. why do the HoS seem to be so fond of Dassem?

Not only fond of, Shadowthrone and Cotillion says something hinting of "past loyalties", and that the new hounds doesn't have them, so the new hounds might defend ST&C while the others would side with Dassem (they don't know they're the hounds of light, obviously).

It's a really short list of people controlling the HoS, isn't there? Thulas Shorn and whatever others managed to claim the throne of shadow for a short time, such as Edgewalker.

Brother Dark is described as being on the moon, so since we know where silchas is I think it kinda rules him out..

That's not right mate. Read the passage again, whether it's true or not Brother Dark is buried, Brother light is on the moon/in the moon.

I'd always assumed that this was a metaphor, ie: light is trapped by the moon in that it doesn't generate light. But I always assumed mother dark was a metaphor but that turned out to be bollocks so, Osric is stuck on the moon dreaming is as likely as anything I guess.

Perhaps the master of the hounds of light is Kurald Thyrllan, Kurald Liosan or Thyr i.e. the warren itself and the hounds are the personification, manifestation of its will to clame rakes sword. In the way that the HoS are an extension of shadowthrones will (for now) I also belive that when the HoS within the sword escaped through darkenss they "became" hounds of darkness i.e. a manifestation of darkness. It seams though that there is at least two problems with this theory:

1) The hounds can reproduce, solved by just assuming that this can happen there is no reason for it not to after all

2) the Deragoth link. The HoS seam intimately linked with them. Whether they are the HoD remains to be seen, I'm still sceptical about this but there is certainly a clear link between all the hounds seen and the deragoth

I'm sure there are other problems with this theory but we have seen in the past tha warrens themselves have a will and can manifest themselves with voices

I can see why light (being a sort of chaotic force) would want to clame dragnipur

If you have read RotCG i think it is reasonably apparent who is master of the Hounds of Light.

Spoiler Below (not sure how to hide them properly)
