Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

My own favourite crazy theory is that Treach is being set up to become the next Lord of Death. It would explain why Gruntle is suddenly getting the power to command the dead. Unless it's Gruntle himself that takes over ...
As for Tulas Shorn. Page 576

I'd hardly consider this conclusive evidence for Tulas Shorn joining with the CG.
In fact, he seems a bit too compassionate for that particular side. Would someone who finds the lives of two horses too valuable to squander want to support a side which essentially thrives on suffering alone?
I think not.

Picker drank a bowl of Rakes blood. She will now become part Dracomnian, part Malazan and part Andii. A new empire will be forged and Quorl milk will be given to all.

Has anyone raised the question/theory whether the Chained God could really be the broken and ravaged Father Light dragged down from the sky by powerfull mages with help from his rivals?
YES!! I've been saying that since MoI .. but do you people listen? noooooo
..As for the final resurection thing. I asked Steve about this at the signing -yes, we're a bunch of bitches aren't we- and he claimed he honestly couldn't remember having said that. Whether he was just not wanting to reveal anything or not, I have no idea.

I've raised that theory as well.

My own crazy theory is that Fisher is Toc the Elder.
There's no specific reasoning behind it, but just something I've felt through the series.

Hes not. Other wise Duiker wouldnt have called him Fisher. Theyd have known each other from the early empire

I wonder, could Toc the Elder be the Spinner of Death? We know he's a literary type because he taught Duiker, and his son is no slouch with a pen. And after RG, he's a confirmed servant of Hood. I've always assumed that Spinner meant storyteller.
There's no real evidence to support this, but it seems like a neat idea.

A good point Fafner but Fisher is definitely not Toc the Elder. Im sure he might turn up in ROTCG. There something in synopsis about 'Old Hands' turningg up so i would assume hes in there.
He might not be mind i havnt read it but we can safely rule out hes not Fisher

I am not following the series as closely has I should (it takes me half of the book to "catch up"). However, with Hood dying and the fact that each god needs to take care of his own followers, will this now "weaken" the CG as he will need to address his dead?

That is a really cool thought actually... I wonder what the effects will be, a new set of chains for the cg

Well...technically speaking the CG has created his house but left it to itself regarding power struggles and day to day chores so I doubt he will be the one weighed down by the arriving souls of his followers. One of his misguided/malformed followers will be dealing with them.
