Well, the whole "can't feel human emotion" thing is just a dumb premise. So then Ryan felt no attachment to his girlfriend? He currently feels nothing for his daughter? What the hell is his motivation then? I guess emotion is slowly dawning on him? I absolutely hate the way Ryan is written - total waste of Morris Chestnut. He makes no sense.

And did you catch the whole "infertile" thing? How is Anna infertile? She just recently laid all those soldier eggs. Or do they mean infertile with respect to interbreeding with humans? Can you be fertile one way and infertile another? I didn't get that at all.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Ryan went 5th column when he started feeling emotion way back when so the suggestion that he can't is new/stupid and conveniently overlooking the last twelve eps or whatever.

I took that she could crank out soldiers but an heiress queen like Lisa was now not possible.

it's funny that they actually did provide a reason for the invasion that almost makes sense - the Vs are becoming infertile and they need another race they can crossbreed with to survive as a species. Their whole 'help the humans' thing is just a way to go about inter-species sexoid research without having to fight a war at the same time. ok, i get it, cool. Totally workable.

But the soul thing....

again, Wow that was bad.

If this becomes a running plot thing i'm so out even before the series gets eaten by the cancellation bear.

Caught the next ep of V. I thought the torture scene veered toward over the top, but added some moral complexity to the 5th Column. However, the ep was ruined by the whole "Father Jack goes viral" story, plus the continuation of our hunt for the soul. Making Lisa press the button on the soul-sucker-device was a nice touch, but overall the story is still quite dumb.

Still watching NO ORDINARY FAMILY. I'm not wild about it, but the wife loves it. It has its moments of goofy fun. Of course, I still think 40 Year Old Virgin's "Bitch be hurtin' for a squirtin'!" when I see the DA guy.

Watched the pilot of THE CAPE. Was thinking about turning it off at about the 20 min mark, but then it got a bit more interesting. Nothing terribly innovative, just a riff on Batman really, but tolerably well done. I do question why Chess needs to dress like a WWI aviator crossed with a Mexican luchador, but there you have it.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Yeah, this ep wasn't as outright bad as last, but the viral thing... Anna's Big Evil Plan involves a crap youtube edit by a 15 yr old. Way to go aliens. That's using your superior alien tech. If the planet-wide response next week isn't 'OMG what a luuser edit LOL GO PRIEST DUDE!!!!!11!!!!' i shall be further unimpressed. Frankly i was sort of hoping father Jack WOULD punch the guy in the face.

Also in the stupid, Mallick was kicking Erica's ass. Full blown beating the crap out of her. Erica stood chance none. Arm fucked. Face punched in. All over but the bleeding. So naturally the logical way for Mallick to win the fight was to pause and just stand there extruding teeth out of her head for three minutes. I swear, sometimes it's like this show isn't even trying....

That said, the torture thing was a nice touch, as was Lisa's moral dilemmas. I even like how Diana is completely mindfucking Anna. I won't weep if the show gets eaten but it still entertains. Mostly.

Regarding the strenuous V: why cant they take a pic or make a video of the damned creature for everyone to see? Also, the people that live in the buildings under that spaceship must be pissed off. They never get any sunlight and all they can see is a big piece of floating metal.

Currently watching Castle (Im just waiting for those two to finally have the sex) . Debating if I should give Fringe another try. Watched the first 3 episodes when the show started, but gave up. Is there a main premise in the show or are all the episodes kinda individual?
No Touchy.

Yeah, those people should sue the Vs for all the dead plants and Seasonal Affective Disorder. But even worse would be the people who live right at the edges of the mothership, because wouldn't all the rain run off the ship torrentially along those points, damaging stuff below?

The first several eps do not really acquit themselves well mostly due to Anna Torv's female Keanu Reeves impression. She has come light years since then, acting-wise. And yeah, many stories are stand-alone but there is also a series arc that doesn't become entirely clear until Season 2. I recommend you find the back episodes and catch up because it does get very interesting. John Noble's performance alone is worth the price of admission.

Do not attempt to apply your puny logic and reasoning to V.
it will only frustrate you.

It's good (lots of violence and sex). It has the cliche'd betrayal, underhanded backstabbing plot line, but it is a good series.

FYI, Starz aired "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" last Friday. All of the lady fans of Lucy Lawless should be happy, as (based on the 1st episode) we will see more of her in this series Posted Image.

Knowing you, yes, it is absolutely worth getting. It gets around its low budget with some creativity and the characters actually become real people and enjoyable after a time. The show does well with providing a lot of spectacle and then meaningful moments at the same time.

Heh, lots of sex is an understatement.

If you didn't like the slo-mo action stuff in 300 though, might not be your thing, since they use that a fair bit. The blood animations are hilarious though.
