Would have gone for 6 based on that cliffhanger end hook

Spoiler

but my traitorous eyes wouldn't cooperate.

TV so rarely surprises me any more that this is such a treat to watch.

That episode is a TREAT....
Spoiler

I'm curious what he denouement will be when Kory finds out who she is and where she's from. That should be interesting.

It's also funny to watch this show knowing it's shot in Toronto...and pick out all the landmarks.

Looking fwd to the Robin story... i spoiled myself a while back so i knew it was coming, just not when.

They seem to be tying Kori to Rachel's back story.
I assume they're still going with 'alien princess' but not the 'sister exiles her she escapes' thing the comic did.

I've spotted at least one apartment bldg i've lived in.

In like episode 2 when you see Dick tear ass out of Wayne Manner in one of Bruce's sports cars, it's literally the long laneway beside the Better Living Centre down off Strachan, inside the Prince's Gates, which makes me giggle a bit. Stately Wayne Manor is down by....Medieval Times!

I was stunned they didn't use Casa Loma. EVERYONE uses Casa Loma.

At the time they were shooting TITANS Casa Loma was being used for three separate daily/nightly events (escape rooms, fine dining, and ballroom dance party) overt he winter, so the odds that production tried and failed to find the time on Casa Loma's schedule is high.

Also, the Escape Room there featured actual actors (we did it for a buddy's bachelor party) and it was the bees knees.

I just watched an episode of the MacGyver reboot.

It's terrible garbage but it's very reminiscent of the original shows terrible garbage. Which makes it kinda good. It doesn't have that 80s TV charm but it's B-grade nostalgia.

Television programming in hell.

Ross Gellar and Ted Mosby are brothers, each trying to find love in the city.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Watched the Asylum ep... wow that got dark. The Donna ep was fun, great chemistry there, hell of an ending. Most of the way thru the H&D ep now... it’s astounding the way they make origin stories ‘real’ yet still believable in the context of the DC universe.
Last time I was at Loma they had some of the rooms set up for the Escape thing and some of the ‘secret passageways’ were accessible. It looked pretty damn fun.

Anybody watching the Teen Titans show on Netflix?

I just watched a clip from episode 11 season 1, not sure if it was a season finale climax but it was pretty damn crazy. I'm kinda wondering if I should jump in.

The clip I'm referring to is:

You can't expect me to read posts that are more than one hour old!

So I take it that this is a must see. Think I'll binge watch it next weekend.

Yes, it's excellent throughout. Accept that it's not going to be a superhero show like you'd expect. It's grimmer, and more curse/blood laden than you'd expect, but it's amazingly well written, and a blast to watch.

Does it have proper superpowers? One of the annoying things about Netflix and Gotham and arrow, etc. Has been how low key the shows are.

I mean yes...budget constraints have mean that Beast Boy is only transforming into a tiger for the first season, but both Kory and Raven exhibit their powers properly and often. And there are other DC characters who show up and use their powers too.

It's surprisingly well done and i - who was beyond sceptical - am enjoying the hell out of it.

I think we're all surprised it actually turned out to be good when pretty much everything about it was screaming that it wouldn't be.

It's a good thing.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

I'm watching episode 1 now. Seems pretty good.

Seems like a mix of X-Men and Extraordinary Gentlemen. Or maybe watchmen if they were all related.

Much, much higher budget and quality than the marvel stuff.

Finished episode 1. I'm going to upgrade my pretty good verdict to must watch potential.

The show doesn't really do anything new, it just does what it does really well. It's like Heroes where it's introducing people with powers and centering their characters around mysteries and murders.

Think of the show like if a more fucked up Charles Xavier (With money instead of telepathy) adopted seven mutants and trained them to be super heroes (ruthless killing machines). Flash forward 20 or so years and you have a sort of Watchmen set up where the Umbrella kids have split up and everyone hates everyone but bad shit is about to go down.

The writing and production quality is the highest I've seen on Netflix. It makes the Marvel stuff look cheap.

I think I'll binge the next 9 episodes tomorrow.

Cool. Yeah, I've read a few articles about it, which was enough to make me want to know more. One of them lives on the moon, yes? Also, after I did some probing into the cast I see that Billy Bones from Black Sails is in it (aka actor Tom Hopper). I thought he was excellent in Black Sails <<<< basically a series that if they turned Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag into a television series - minus - the Assassin/Templar stabby stab stuff.

Half way through the umbrella season.

The show has not turned out like I expected. It's definitely weird and entertaining but there's not a lot of focus on the actual Academy, the kids Hay day and they don't actually have a lot of power.

One things for certain the show is not very predictable.
