Got a seasons pass for SyFy's creepypasta anthology series CHANNEL ZERO Season 1 CANDLE COVE...and it's got the right amount of straight up creepy and understated acting and direction. Mostly unknown actors comprise the roles, and I feel this helps it. It feels like the super-creepy, lower budget cousin to STRANGER THINGS. No jump scares here really. Just straight up creepy and weird. I also like how they've stretched and modified the original source material creepypasta story and adapted it into a 6 episode arc (so far, only 2 eps in) as they've done it in an organic way that doesn't lose too much of the original tale.

If the show continues in this vein, I'll definitely be getting S2 which will adapt the NO END HOUSE creepypasta.

BK, not sure if you finished up the first spate of episodes of TERRACE HOUSE on Netflix...but they threw up the next 28 eps (calling it Season 2, even though it simply continues from where it left off) two weeks back....oh man it's SO good.

And....not to be outdone and after 46 episodes in Tokyo...the show is popular enough for Netflix to have renewed it AND moved the location to Hawaii....so TERRACE HOUSE: ALOHA STATE starts in November!

I can't get enough of this show, and my wife is now obsessed with it too.

Spoiler for ep 35

Fuck Arisa and what she just did to my boy.

Yeah, no one was a fan of what Arisa pulled...especially after having basically swept Arman away from Mizuki (who really, genuinely liked him)...to the point where she left the house feeling so slighted by Arisa...only for Arisa to turn on Arman like that. Even Reina (the younger female commentator) was not a fan of it, and she's usually really quiet. It's funny because remember that Yamasato (the funny commentator with the glasses) said he didn't like or trust Arisa right out of the gate when she first showed up in the house....turns out he was bang on right!

side note: Just wait till you meet Yuto Handa...he's literally the best!

Whoa once again the culture dif shocks me. I didn't understand that drinking intervention one fucking bit! I'm watching it saying for real? Are y'all fucking kidding me? That was even stuipder then the "meat incident" which I about loled myself to death over. I love this show

I assume you're talking about the Natsumi incident where she was hammered and would not let up on Misaki about getting rejected by Hikaru?

Yeah, there is a long portion that was excised by the show and we only saw the aftermath where the boys had to intervene. Sounds like they were less annoyed by the drinking and more upset that Nacchan is so socially awkward that she doesn't u dertsand that her worst tendencies (including her dagger stare) are exacerbated when she's drinking.

Wife is away for the weekend as of tomorrow, so she doesn't want me to watch THE CROWN till she's back, but we are excited to check it out for sure!

The Crown? It's Netflix so it's everywhere you can get Netflix. I'm not watching it personally though...

I wasn't gonna watch it but reviews are stellar so I'll probably give it a look.

Question: is Autumn/Fall 2016 the best TV airing season ever for new shows starting up? Atlanta, Westworld, The Young Pope are all fantastic, I've just started Quarry which as a season is getting rave reviews and certainly makes a proper good start, The Crown is getting raves as well... Luke Cage, a perfectly solid show despite some issues, barely registers and we've not even finished.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

I dunno about that, but I'd add Better Things to the list. Absolutely loving it.

Yep, Better Things is awesome. So is Atlanta. In fact all of FX/FXX comedies are all very good. You're The Worst, in its third season now, is hilarious. The cuck (cuckold) side story has had me laugh so hard it hurts, culminating in the road trip with Paul and Vernon when Paul confides in Vernon that he is a cuck (I had to google cuck and cuckold). I remember hearing it somewhere else and then I remembered Posted Image:

You're mistaken. Young Pope is my rap moniker, not a TV show.

It's the UK channel on which TYP airs.

If you're in the US it starts in January on HBO.

Just announced, YOUNG JUSTICE is getting a season 3!

Easily one of the best animated shows to have been on TV in the past few years (with only THE CLONE WARS and REBELS above it on my list)...cancelled after Season 2 because (and I quote) "THE TOYS WEREN'T SELLING"....and because fans have been complaining since it was cancelled, and refused to watch TEEN TITANS GO (which replaced YJ on the schedule)...DC animation finally got their heads out of their asses and decided to bring it back for a 3rd season.

This is great news! Oh, and if you've not watched it yet, I'm pretty sure both existing seasons are up on Netflix in their entirety.

Also, checked out the first episode of the Canadian/American Co-production about the Hudson's Bay Company, and the fur trade in the 1670's wilderness...FRONTIER...which stars Khal Drogo. In Canada it's on Discovery, and in the States it's on Netflix. Really enjoyable out of the gate. Nothing mind-blowing yet, but a seriously interesting period of time that I know little about, acted and written well.

anyone still watching Blindspot? watched the first ep of season 2 and it was better than i expected but haven't seen any more. Feel it could go either way of being cool again, or turning to utter shite.

It'd be nice if it was still any good, just to have a backup show when my favourites are having weeks off.
