Well, less than 15 minutes into season 3, ep 1 of The Boys and ... wow, even for them that was another level of Fucked Up.
I very much look forward to the rest of the season.

Just about 12 minutes for me, and...I see what you mean.

Now on episode 39 of Critical Role, Omens.
Holy shit. The Chroma Collective just arrived. This is some bad ass shit. Forget about Netflix, BioWare needs to buy the rights to this story.

Aye, that moment totally kicks ass, their arrival is epic.
This is where I was talking about when the cast really seem to step up their game and it just gets better and better from here.
Please tell me you loved Scanlan's assault on the mansion.

Scanlan's Dinosaur attack was great. Made even more funny when people were chiding Vax later on for charging into a room and nearly getting himself killed.
Generally I'm impressed with how well the actor's own personalities mix with the characters they play.

I'm like 2/3 through Under the Banner of Heaven, based on the Krakauer book. Great look at our past and our future. I wouldn't say it's as good as True Detective S1, which was pretty singularly enthralling, but it definitely has shades of that kind of thing. I guess what it lacks in that mythic dread it makes up for in being an essentially true story (with the usual dramatization caveats).
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Better Call Saul final season (s6). Episodes up to the mid-season pause are available. I'm over the mid-season finale/break and it needs to die, but anyway.
I started picking off the available episodes. Finished episode three and I have to post - I'm shattered. Make sure you pay attention to the opening and store that away in your brain for access as the episode closes. I don't think there are many shows that execute on a level of excellence as the BB/BCS collaborators do.
The season will start up again in July.

Following up, Under the Banner of Heaven is great all the way through. Lots of strong performances, everyone in the main cast is stellar. The real surprise to me is Sam Worthington who is anything but milquetoast in this.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

People like to rip on Worthington because he got his start as "generic action hero" but he's now been in at least three things that I feel show off his impressive acting chops.
He's VERY good in MANHUNT: UNABOMBER.

Got caught up on a lot the last couple weeks.
Season 4 of Stranger Things. Starts slow, but ends part 1 awesome. I’m digging how they’re handling Vecna.
Halfway through Shoresy, which is almost as good as Letterkenny.
Better Call Saul season 6. Holy shitballs this show is good. Damn these shows and making us wait a month between parts of the season. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mike Ehrmentraut is one of the best fictional characters ever. Besides the story, all the characters in this show are phenomenal. Well written and great acting. Kim, Jimmy, Nacho, Howard, Gus, Chuck, Lalo. Even the minor characters are perfect. Damn I’m gonna miss this show.
Oh! And What We Do In the Shadows was picked up for seasons 5 and 6. Boo-ya!

I like that Mike lives by a code. Even though you know he has a murder sheet longer than any of Fring's original guys. I've been enjoying the venn diagram between BB and BCS gradually becoming clearer. Only four episodes in, and have been tickled to see old friends.
[EDIT] old friends, and places.

As a LONG time SANDMAN fan...this looks incredible! tom Sturridge was inspired casting as Dream.
Moreover, shots from this trailer look like they were ripped from the pages of the comic.

Got Apple TV for a month to watch Ted Lasso and Severance.
Ted Lasso is just as good as everyone said it was. Jason Sudekis is perfect. I have a feeling this will be one of those situations where the actor plays the character so well, I have trouble distinguishing the two with my thinky meat. Like Nick Offerman and Ron Swanson.
Starting Severance tonight after the kids go to bed.
Any other Apple TV shows worth watching while I’ve got it?
