Fantastic episode of Terminator this week. Just brilliant. The show has really shaped into something smart. Too bad it's likely going to be canceled soon.

What's this ! Why is it going to be cancelled ? Granted it has the odd meandering " fuck all" happens episode but it's an excellent series. The potential for a long runner is massive, I mean how old is John Connor at the mo 15/16 ? Christ they've got another 20 years of his life to muck about with yet, let alone mucking about with viewer perceptions/reality/paradox.

Cancelling this show would be a crime, it's TERMINATOR maaaaan!, the movie is out soon as well ! :D:

Just borrowed the first season of Dexter from one of my friends. Now i can finally find out what the hell you all are talking about. :unworthy:

Dexter is fucking excellent! The first and third seasons are the best. The second is rather slow, but picks up its pace after a while...a looong while.

Thirded ! by far the best thing I watched last year along with BSG. Dexter is the one of the best anti-heroes ever and it messes with your mind a bit when you find yourself cheering him on, with a bone saw in one hand and cling wrap in the other !

Lol, the latest South Park was great. They totally skewered Kanye West and his monster ego. Watch it, it's funny. :D

Kings is getting even better. The third episode was extremely solid all the way through and the dialogue has turned absolutely top-notch.

Ian McShane is in the process of creating one of the best characters in TV history.

I hope the internet viewies/TiVo is sufficient for this show to keep running. This is so much better than The Black Donnellys or any other big budget epic attempt I've seen in years. And it's kind of SF to boot.

Hrmm. I feel like the show is remaining a steady flow of Mediocrity. The first episode was banging, really solid, but everything else since then has been average in my eyes.

Lots of Overacting going on also.

But either way, I'm enjoying the show. I think they should have incorporated Davids piano playing into the show a bit more, making music a focal point. That was my favorite part of the Bible story, and I've been a bit disappointed at its absence.

Still hanging in there with Kings. My problem is, I just really don't like the writing for David. He's just kind of Forrest Gump-ing through the show. And I don't know if it's a function of the writing or direction, but I don't care for the actor playing David either. Two eps ago I was rooting for the sniper - drill that motherfncker!!!!
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I think Egan, the actor playing David, does a very good job of performing 98% of the scenes he's put in. He's not too saintly, does the fish out of water well and is affable when the character is relaxing somewhat. He's good around his on-screen family too.

I do admit to worry about the show's propensity to throw David at every single crisis possible and to use him in a strident "golden child" manner. It's incredibly hard to pull off a scene written and shot like that, and Egan does it some of the time, which is an achievement.

Last nights Terminator was FANTASTIC. I had kinda grown lost with some of the episodes mid season, the writers seemed to lose their way a bit. But the last few episodes have really come through.

There is a lot of talk about cancellation, and I think its a real possibility. I love the show, but the writers have made it really hard to access for regular watchers.

But if Salvation is as huge a movie as I think its going to be, we'll get another season.

That Terminator finale was something else. Totally weird and totally brilliant. I really hope this show doesn't get tossed into the can.

Has anyone in the UK been watching that David Starkey Henry VIII series? It was pretty cool (apart from the dodgy letter writing re-enactments). He tried to explain why old Henry went from being a chivalric lovestruck youngster to a bloody tyrant using original personal, political and diplomatic correspondence from that time. Hearing loads of the gossip in the exact(ish) words of those who wrote them in Ye Olden Times was pretty cool. Starkey himself is a bit hit and miss but you can't fault his enthusiasm.

Yeah I've just been watching it on C4 plus 1 and it's pretty good. It's a bit simplistic in parts and I find some of the stuff Starkey says a bit route 1 (ie: he makes a lot of assumptions and makes them relevant to modern thinking which is a technique that is a bit sloppy in some ways) and also really fruity but I enjoyed it.

I liked his little raised eyebrow moment today when he was discussing Anne of Cleves disputed virginity. And his final summing up seemed to suggest he's quite the nationalist! I suppose after he mortally offended the Scottish and Welsh on St Georges Day last week, it shouldn't be a surprise.

Mine too, Scrubs is unbelievably amazing. So many funny one liners, classic characters, good plot...it's got it all. Shame it's wrapping up at the end of this season.

A few shows I've really gotten into recently are Greek and Weeds. Greek's mix of teen drama and comedy is good, Rusty and Cappie are funny and there are some hot female eye candy. I love Weeds, as it's not just a whole series of pot jokes where everyone is a stoner or a cop or a narc, and it has an intersesting story. Plus its funny.

I just discovered this hilarious new show on Starz, called "Party Down." It's definitely R-Rated though, kids. :)

You can watch a couple of the eps on starz.com. Or just find 'em on the net if interested.

Thought this would be cool to link here. Entertainment Weekly keeps track of the shows that are staying and getting cancelled.

Cool SB. I'm always amazed by the sheer amount absolute garbage that gets renewed year after year...

I've been vegging out on TV today. Just watched the the first few eps of Harper's Island, which I actually quite liked. Hot girls, lots of bloodshed, and solid mystery going on. And ABC has insured a full first season story-arc where they promise all mysteries will be revealed, and it won't get canceled mid-season and totally piss me off. I hate it when that happens :)

Flipping loving Smallville at the moment, it r00lz! Currently on season 5 so please spoiler anything after that... Despite their being a lot of inconsistencies with the exosting Superman stories, it's good to see a lot of characters from the DC universe make appearances.

I always felt that Season 5 was a return to form after a poor Season 4 - that witches plot thing didn't do anything for me at all.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.
