Got caught up with the latest episode of Louie.

This episode was middle of the road quality. It did have some stand out sequences:
- Louie has an accident. Posted ImagePosted Image. His poor daughters. At least he told them to run before he lost control.
- And Pam is back! I think I would be okay with the arrangement she wants her and Louie to have. Posted Image

Oh tonight's episode of Forever was great. I will be so pissed if this doesn't get a S2. Considering how much this show has grown on me since it's rather rocky ep 1-4 it's become a true treat. Will be so pissed ABC so be warned TV excutives!!!!

I agree completely. While the majority of the episodes are pretty light but enjoyable fare, there is enough of a dark undercurrent to the show to keep me intrigued as to where they'll take this in the long run.

Oh yeah, the comedian that took Louie's advice about doing his act with a goofy voice was a high point. Man, prior to that, it was sad and depressing routine. And how could I forget the grated cheese on those spectacular meatballs? Posted ImagePosted Image

I heard last man on earth was great and funny. It is awkward and unfunny with unlikable characters and cringeworthy situations. I'm six episodes in and don't know why I don't just stop.

The Last Man on Earth is hilarious. I recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh their ass off. If you don't think it's funny, you should visit a doctor immediately and receive therapy to remove that uptight stick from your arse.

Sadly only one episode left this season. Ex President Tandy (aka former Phil Miller) is the man! I think he is going to be banished by sexy new president Phil (new Phil Miller) in the finale this Sunday.Posted ImagePosted Image

I think the feeling of seeing something "cringeworthy" might be my single favorite emotion.

Am quite impressed with Netflix' Chef's Table - watched the first three of six episodes and I am definately hoping they'll do a second series. Starting with Massimo Botttura made sense, as the man is just a great watch, but the follow-ups were original, diverse and intelligent choices.

It's not even a comedy. It's like a fucked up episode of the twilight zone.

Lots of dark humor going on in Last Man. It is unique, which I give it credit for. Haven't watched the last couple of episodes yet though.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

It's just a horrible person stumbling from one predictable, terrible situation to another, deserving everything bad that happens to him. It's barely played for a laugh, just "hey, look at this guy get punished for being an asshole. Also, one joke an episode!"

It is a 100% true and accurate account of how every single person in Louisiana lives their lives.

This week's ep of OUTLANDER was awesome. The show conitnues on stride, and was even more impressive this week to me than GoT was.

Basically at this point I'm fully invested, and the books are currently 2 for $15 at the store...so once the show finishes I'll be buying at least books 2 and 3.

But yeah, one of my fave shows on right now.

Oh man! That season finale of The Last Man on Earth! Man o man, this show just hits all the funny groove bones! And that false ending... awww, Carol and Tandy, it makes so much sense. And then the reveal that Tandy has a brother! (played by Jason Sudeikis). Yes! What a teaser for season 2! Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I'm still trying to determine if your one week behind me on show. What happens on your last one?

I've bought bks1-4. I'd like to know if what we are seeing is still in bk 1 or if we have crossed to 2 yet. I find myself looking forward to starting these.

Spoiler

From what I've heard/read...the first season when it is done will be the first book only. So my plan will be to start with book 2 after that. Wiki says that Season 2 will be book 2.

EDIT: I flipped through DRAGONFLY IN AMBER in the bookstore and sampled the writing for a few paragraphs and I can see myself getting properly stuck into these books.

I'll be interested to hear how closely you think the show sticks with the books. I read at least the 1st two years ago and only recall the vaguest details of the main storyline. My impression is that the show has already added some things that I don't remember, but my memory isn't much to go by. We are enjoying the show. I love getting to see Scotland again, as much as anything else about it.
