John Oliver's show has been great must-watch television from the start, but this last episode might be the best. That was absolutely scathing.

The translator segment? Yeah, he wasn't holding back there.

Alpha House on Amazon Prime is worth watching if you like comedies bumbling yet likable politicians. They assembled a very, very good set of comedic actors including John Goodman and then let them rip as the mid-level guys in the Republican establishment (below the famous dickhead politicians at the top).

Basically, if you liked the funnier moments of House of Cards, you'll like this show very much.

Legends was pretty good. A tad predictable but some surprising twists. Although the final twist was a bit over the top for some.

The Knick is worth a look. I paused on it after a few episodes so I could binge it at the end, because it wasn't hooking me enough week-on-week to make the concerted effort to search it out, but it's interesting, and very very stylish (and in places incredibly gory).

The Knick is fucking solid! Def check it out.

Legends I can't back as I still have the last 4 on the DVR cause I just can't get into the mood to finish. They will prob wind up erased as I really didn't enjoy the other epis I did watch. It was just something to try at the time.

Think I'll give Knick the first shot, I do like Clive Owen as an actor!

Thanks for the feedback!

Watched the first two eps of the British show HAPPY VALLEY (it's on Netflix as an Original, even though it's not THEIR original) and really enjoyed it. It's quite dark though. Kind of like if BROADCHURCH and BREAKING BAD had a baby. Not as dark as say UTOPIA...but still it deals with hard human drama stuff. Sarah Lancashire is great in it, and Siobhan Finneran (unrecognizable from her O'Brien role on DOWNTON) is also good. I like it.

It annoys me when British TV isn't on British Netflix...

I expect that had something to do with the BBC and the license/charter, and the fact that it only aired in June over there?

Netflix probably paid the Beeb a significant amount for it, and they would not see any reason to throw it on UK Netflix yet seeing as it actually aired there so recently?

But I totally understand your frustration.

Also, if you haven't seen it yet Tiste, you'll get more out of it since it's about a local cop.

Last Week Tonight is pretty incredible. The Supreme Court segment was hilarious, and we ended up watching the entire video on youtube once the show was over.

Just finished episode 4 of the second season of the Arrow and it made me very uncomfortable. I feel like this episode of a bunch of racist undertones that I haven't really noticed in the show before so I hope it's just a one off.

Constantine, the pilot was pretty good. Too rushed, a bit disjointed, but Constantine himself was excellent and that's a huge part of the appeal.

Watching the pilot now. For those who were a bit turned off by it, read this: http://sciencefictio...cut-constantine

Sounds like they're going for something a bit more mature and darker than the pilot, so they decided they needed a different partner for John.

Hey guys, trying to avoid spoilers so staying out of the dedicated threads til I'm caught up.

But what is the general opinion of the current seasons of ARROW, and PERSON OF INTEREST? Any good?

Also, is the current DOCTOR WHO any good?

Have all 3 series above DVR'd, but for some reason haven't been too pushed to start them.

Just remembered too that I never bothered with Season 2 of the US version of THE BRIDGE. Did it improve any bit. Season 1 had some ok bits, and some good acting (Bichir) and some terrible (Kruger, mumbley guy). Was wondering if they managed to pick things up once they had freed themselves from the plot of the scandanavian original.

Person of Interest is probably my favourite show that is airing right now. Its pretty simple but fun as hell. I cant get enough of the team just kicking ass. Plus the plot usually moves forward with every episodes. Not like most of these shows where 2 out of the 20 actually give you anything.

Arrow is alright, nothing special in my opinion.

I've watched the first episode of the new season of Doctor Who but for some reason it didnt draw me in. The show has been getting kinda boring lately I think.
