I couldn't even get pass the 5th or so episode of Continuum. Don't know why it was praised so much.
I've watched an episode of Orange is the New Black. It was alright. Anyone up to date with this show? Is there an actual plot and character development?

I've only seen the first season but there was plenty of character development. Not sure what you want out of a plot, but it has several strong character arcs. But I mean it's inherently a bit more amorphous in nature plot-wise than say True Detective.

I'm about to give up on Continuum S3. I have 6 epis on DVR but it's hard to even try and watch it. Wtf this is why I hate complex time travel shit as it tends to become a bit TO much to take in. S1&2 were both great stuff so I'm bummed by this fall.
I actually kind of like the fact that

Though I'm still bummed that we still haven't seen what old Alec's endgame is.

I must be coming to the end of season 2 of Persons of Interest. I love this show.

I finally got around to finishing the second season of Fringe, having watched the first season years and years ago.
I've watched one ep of season 3 and find I have little interest in continuing. I understand a lot of you really like the show, so why should I continue watching?

I only watched season 1, its on my to watch list but that list is long. I have only watched one episode of Grimm for example, which needs to be remedied.
I have a problem though, not enough time in the day

Nah, Grimm is pretty daft. I wouldn't waste any time on it if I were you.

I liked Grimm. It never takes itself too seriously and Silas Weir Mitchell is ace!
I'm sure Supernatural does it better but it's just good silly fun.
If you're not enjoying Fringe too much at the beginning of S3 I'm not sure you will find it getting better. We flew through the first 3 seasons very quickly and loved all of it! I'm not sure you will enjoy it if you find it dragging now.

Anyone know when the newest Louie episodes will be available on Netflix?
Continued watching Orange is the New Black. Its pretty good, definitely recommend it.
Also see a Netflix original "the Fall." Anyone see it? So far the Netflix shows are pretty good so maybe its something to check out.

If The Fall = the Gillian Anderson show, then it's not a Netflix original so much as an Irish import to Netflix. It's pretty good, but slow-paced and w/o much in the way of comic relief. Just a grim serial murder procedural whose hook is you spend like a third of your time with the murderer and so not just the investigators.

Finished watching Fringe. Emotional final episode - nearly cried at one point
Definitely glad we stuck with it. All my previous niggles seemed to work out so I'm happy with that! All in all a superb show!

Well, I'll give it a chance, just because it features Anthony Head!
Did you watch it? I thought Anthony was perfect! There were a few cringe worthy scenes but I must admit I quite liked the pilot epi. We ll see how this goes but I have hope for this so far.
I was hoping it would be good, but it was not. It was the opposite of good.

Finally finished the latest season of Louie. Great season. You can tell Louis C.K. has full creative control of the show. Could be the best season so far. Loved the finale appearance by Marc Maron; truly brilliant television.

I saw the pilot episode of "The Last Ship" today. It wasn't half bad actually, though it reminds me a bit of the Last Resort pilot. And compared to that it kinda falls short.
The story isn't really anything original, but damn, I liked it and I'll definitely watch the next episode. It certainly doesn't hurt that the show features Rhona Mithra who is looking SMOKING hot like never before!

I've been watching a lot of British police dramas because, well let's face it, the Brits make the best police dramas.
Finally got around to watching Endeavour. Thought they cast the young Morse really well. Also making my way through a heap of Inspector Morse and Lewis episodes I have saved to my IQ.
Started watching a new show on ABC called The Tunnel. Finding it to be pretty good. The actress playing the autistic cop is brilliant. Only problem with the show is that it's full of French people.

Only seen glimpses of ENDEAVOUR but it looked to be well made, and very well cast.
I have to say though that LEWIS remains my favourite of all those British detective shows. The reversal of the dynamic from the original INSPECTOR MORSE series was great, and again, they nailed the casting. Having grown up watching British crime shows, I quite enjoy the languid pacing, especially since they don't telegraph who did it.
As for THE TUNNEL, I couldn't quite get into it, as I've already watched the original scandanavian series THE BRIDGE (and the US remake - THE BRIDGE), and it looked like they were going to stick to the same storyline as well. Equally, I didn't really like the female detective in this version either, but she was nowhere near as annoying as the actress in the US version (Diane Kruger). I still think the actress in the original version played it brilliantly, and her overall character worked better too. But I have noticed from reading various reviews online, that people typically think the first version they see is the best. So for me, it's Swedish/Danish version great, US version great in parts, and The Tunnel might be great i just don't know yet.
