Am already laying the groundwork to be 'sick' for a few days. Also, may have a few 'off site' meetings and 'research'.

- Abyss, dying of anticipation (but figures a few days on a beach will make the time pass)...

mine's coming around July 2 or 3. I'm gonna take it slow with her too...no sense rushing it.

I may quit the forum for a bit so as not to be tempted by the spoilers. Even though I don't mind them, I think I would have liked to read the "fucking dragon" on my own before hearing about it in the RG forums. I still like reading it, but it took the punch out of the scene a bit.

That was crap anyway. Better line was 'allow us to introduce ourselves' from bottle.

Up to page 70 now, so far no yellow brick road....
"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

i have to say i am really really enjoying it... the talk of it being slow just seems unfounded, so much going on and its all very interesting and great. you can tell its just building and building. cant wait to read more.

It is soooo good....I feel like a junkie who has just had his morning fix. :D

The book is not really slow, just a bit longwinded. But it is all good.

I had the 23/6 email and am in the UK :D, BUT had to go out for a medical appointment today, and when I got back...you've guessed it, the postman had been and gone and all he left was a stupid card saying stupid 'sorry we missed you' in stupid print and stupid people said I can't even go to the stupid sorting office until stupid tomorrow, which is really stupid ...whhhyyyyyy?

*you may substitute any appropriate swear word for the word stupid
'Tell me, Tool, what dominates your thoughts?'
The Imass shrugged before replying. 'I think of Mafia, Adjunct.'
'Do all Imass think about Mafia?'
'No. Few think at all.'
'Why is that?'
The Imass leaned his head to one side and regarded her. 'Because, Adjunct, they are sheeple.'

Sometimes I wonder, "Why is that frisbee getting bigger?" ... and then it hits me.

I know all too well how this goes.

You need guns. LOTS of guns.

- Abyss, ...also, dobermans.

... what if you mounted the guns on the dobermans... you'd then have your hands free to eat a sandwich while you wait for the German parent company of DHL to show up with your version of TtH.

BTW -- Why don't we get to click a little box that says, "Please leave the parcel if I sleep through the doorbell?" Or even better... "Please don't ship my book with Mr. A Byss'... his karma blows chunks."

Oh, hindsight is such a wonderful thing :D, I NEVER go out, so I sort of thought it might not actually be a problem :p - I'm calm now though, it's nearly tomorrow, and then I will have it, and oh how I will laugh an evil, hysterical laugh, whilst lovingly stroking my new book:evil:

(Oh noes, just had a truly AWFUL thought - just hope the card didn't relate to more of those energy saving light bulbs my electricty co. keep sending me )
