I feel sorry for Adams, not many managers would do much better forced to sell their best players and with the severe bad luck he's had. How many games have Pompey deserved to win and been pipped at the end or just not been able to bury chances. And for experienced players like Campbell and Distin who were so good last year make personal errors at crucial times to lose games cant be all Adams' fault. It's not as if Redknapp's done a much better job elsewhere so far anyway, having spent £40 odd million they're still in a relegation scrap.

Scolari surprises me less tbh, Chelsea have been poo lately and getting worse, he's lost the confidence of the players and fans, and with the league and cc already blown, the last thing they'd want is to keep him on until he potentially loses in the CL.

In other news, Eboue is a useless tit.

did you see the reported amount big phi is getting for been sacked, something like 7.5 mill, that cant be right can it?!?

it seems odd to leave it till now to sack him, i mean its must have been in the pipeline for a while so why not sack him in jan and let the new man bring in his own players unless roman never had any intention of spending in jan.

its the same at pompey and adams.

Sorry, but that's not news!

The talk is that Chelsea are going to bring in a manager for the rest of the season, and then try and get their main target in the summer. That might explain why they didn't sack before the transfer window closed.

One rumour is that they want Ancelotti, he wouldn't go mid season.
The other rumour is that they're trying to get Hiddink, but I can't see that working as a job share, and I'd be surprised if Hiddink walked away before the world cup is over. There is the Russian connection though.

They'll drag you down to their level, and then beat you with experience!

Hiddink says he wants it, and people in the Russian FA say it's not a problem for the remainder of the season, so it looks like that one's going to happen.

...Just a goat.

I would like to say congrats to Villa for being so goddamed terrific this season. Now, I'm not one to say I told you so, but...not surprised but I am pleased for Martin O'Neil.

So, who thinks Hiddink is going to do better than Scolari? I really enjoyed watching Russia at the Euros, they looked very good under his managership...whether he'll be able to drag Chelsea back into contention in the title race is another matter entirely, but he definitely has the pedigree to do it.

Sir Thursday
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

You know, it would be truly awesome if he really said that in an interview - and kept a straigt face.

If he can keep charge of a Russian changing room, he can certainly puncture the inflated egos of the Chelsea prima donnas.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Out for the season, isn't he? Though I did see photos of him training the other day.

Yeah, they do miss him. In my mind he's the best defensive/box-to-box player certainly in the league, probably in the world.

Hopefully he's out all season, and Chelsea stay poo. God I hate them. Im pleased with the weekends PL action, one game, one bad result for spurs, huzzah!

Pleased with the cup draw everyone? Now I know that if Arsenal manage to scrape past Cardiff, they can try and limp past Burnley, in order to lose against Hull, and if they get through that, get caned by either Everton, Man U or Chelsea.

I bet we lose. >_>

I've got this sneaking feeling we'll concede in the league on Saturday. Big Sam is a canny bastard, although so is David Moyes.
