I would like to co-mod a smallish game sometime in the future, for the game I would like to run sometime in the distant future. Thanks Dibs for the feedback, I'll work on the balancing a little more closer to the time. With all the games in the pipe it will prob be late december or early next year. Also GMT +2

hmm no probs :w00t: might be better having someone farther than 2 hours away GMT as well as it increases chances of mod presence. and remmeber any and all suggesstions for rp in my dice game are welcome.

I'm happy to help Mod it. I'm not a huge fan of RPing in the Mafia threads so i'd probably sit it out anyway.

Which reminds me though,

I've got a Game up my sleeve I'd like to have added to our ever growing list. JA has already signed up as my co-mod. Its got a Halloween/Horror theme mainly because we'll be using some of the lesser used roles that sort of fit into that group.

Probably rating in around a 6 or so. Most people will get a role I imagine, and maybe even a bit of a cult going on as well. Who knows?
Actually you will since i'll probably release a list of roles before game start.

Happy to run it whenever really, probably not right next to the ghostbuster game though. I imagine there is only so much we can take in that area :w00t:

well, I hope the cult will be beter balanced than it was in my game..

also, once I find the time to hammer out something moe than a VERY rough draft of my bodysnatchers game, I'll be looking for a co-mod as well..

Sign me up to mod one, so that I am on the list.

In a spaceship, hurtling towards a planet. You do not have enough oxygen to make landfall.


People will have roles that can slow down oxygen use, speed up the ship's engines, kill other people in their desperation, and other interesting things.

It should be TMDI 6 or 7, but will have funky roles so has to be listed as 10.

I just thought of the most twisted set-up ever. feel the need to write it down. It can go on the current list, and we can put in another couple of games before it.
once I outline this, the setup's up for grabs, anyone can mod it, I'll be happy to co-mod. It's actually pretty simple, but offers great possibilities

a standard 4 team Merc game, with either 20-24 people. No outside roles. each team has same roles.
the TWIST
during night 1, the team leader gets the alts of all his players. he may PM them, but he may not reveal the names of the other players.
the reason for PMs: on night 1, each team must choose an OBJECTIVE (1 out of 4, no more than two teams can have same objective)
the 4 objectives are as follows:
1) Blood feud--the team swears to eliminate all players on ONE of the opposing teams.
2) Supremacy--standard merc game "first to majority wins" scenario
3) Dominance--the team gives up its powers to make its leader a cult leader. wins when all non-cult players are dead/converted
4) Ascendancy--the entire team becomes jesters. team wins if it' the first to die completely.

with enough people, the game can continue once one team achieves its objective, with winners having first/second/third place, etc...
thoughts/comments?

1+4 sound easier to achieve that 2+3.
What happens if one team blood feuds a team that chooses ascendancy? Who wins?
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

I thought of that.
the teams tie for first, the other teams may continue with their objectives. [ EDIT ]:This would possibly work even better with 5 teams (25-30 ppl), but i figure that's pushing it on this board [/EDIT] :p


it still needs some balancing, obviously, such as, what power roles the teams will get, but that's the basic premise --a "choose your own objectives" game.
and imagine the hesitations this will cause in NKs and lynches... :p

Sounds good Ment. If a blood fued goes after an ascendant team, make the tie breaker who got the hammer vote/NK. And maybe dont let the grunts know exactly what the team objective is, if that's somehow possible :) Or dont give the leader the names of his grunts and just assign each team a role to prevent the bloodfued/ascendant thing.

In other news, I thought of a backstory for my proposed game. I dont know where the big list with all the gameson it is (I think it's at the beginning of this thread, but haven't checked) or how up to date it is. But please put down my game as 'Monastery Murders'. TDMI 6-8, depending on how people play. Inno vs scum with a couple of new mechanics and some twists on the old ones. Setup is for 18 people, but I can tweak it if more people want to play. Still a couple of balancing things to sort out, but I will be ready any time from December onwards if needed. Most likely DiBs to comod, as I discussed the mechanics with him, but he'll need to confirm.

Is that at me? Lol. Didnt mean it that way, just not 100% sure how complicated people will find it. It really depends how people play, and which roles go down when.

thought that was a given :D#

its a good setup, nice flair to it, think you ahve te balance spot on but it migth be worth runnign through a worst case scenarios on it just to check closer to the time. in other words my net should be up and running by next week so my rd game will go ahead after gems and the mini /normal game that follows her heroes mafia.

Cool, I'm glad you like it ;) I think it's gonna be a lot of fun. Although I think we're in the same timezone, so we might need another mod, or hope an american dies early. Your thoughts as to the TMDI level?
