We're rather chaotic on this board and people generally don't really volunteer(as you might have noticed from the discussion on whom to send), so decisions take time.

I guess any choice of a Malazan representative would be debatable and a discrete invite from your side by PM is made harder by the fact that we don't have any yearly awards.

I had a quick peek over the first all-star game and it looks like fun.

For a town-scum game, Jump Around would be the absolute nr 1 to send, Morgoth, Drinksinbars and Vengeance hot on their heels. Unfortunately, with the exception of Venge, few play anymore and the regular Town/Scum games aren't a staple here anymore, so there's little training as well. Khellendros, D'rek and The Dude are the first names that come to mind to ask for faction games and unusual stuff. Macros doesn't play a lot of mafia anymore but if it is a slow game, he might be up for it.

I've never been considered a top player, by myself and certainly by no consensus acknowledging.
The only awards I've garnered are the jester card on here and I think possibly funniest player like 8 years ago on mafiascum, so I fail on the main criteria

I don't think that we have a champion of our site. JA would probably be the near unanimous top player. But he hasn't been on the forum in a year or so. Other then him each game has a Man of the Match. But that varies in each game.

I was actually working on a similar project a few months back - it stalled when my RL workload picked up, but I've been keen to go back to it and finish it up.

Isn't that what the hhm is for? I think this would encourage too much selfish competition to be honest.
I don't know any of the current crop of players but from memory that weasel was a master. Otherwise someone who has consistently motm'd or pushed close over a block of games in various styles.
I don't think he'll get a bite thus time but MR THINGYMAN if you pass them a bit more notice for your next supergame I'd be surprised if they couldn't rustle up a few competent players.
to our own mafia addicts here picking someone, bear in mind the convoluted mechanics you all love might and likely wont be in evidence in such a game, polish up those meat and potatoes! (how much of an innuendo can that be?)

What I was envisaging wasn't so much a league table as a stats table - how many times played, what kind of game, who won, team or individual, who modded, etc etc. It was getting to be quite detailed.

The idea is to encourage healthy, rather than selfish, competition. Plus I love stats
