dunno about the pen I was in another room :/
however I managed to see some goal for Italy that was offside according to the ref, however I didn't really see an offside there...
also, should be several bookings for italian players near the end of the game for diving for pens...

A draw? Great save by the Italian Keeper at the end though.....I can't believe how poor Italy is showing here...

Gallas has been going downhill since the Birmingham game, but now he just looks past it. Next season is not going to be fun if Wenger doesnt replace him.

As for Thuram, he's just obviously too old to compete at this level anymore, he simply doesnt have the pace. Domenech's managerial incompetence strikes again.

I just cant believe any nation would hire a man who would never play a Leo in defence, or more than 2 scorpios in the same team. Astrology is not the way to run a football team.

I was just thinking, it's not really total football, too structured for that - but it's magnificent all the same.
BBC made a good point about how they haven't had to chase a game yet, though.


Also, they'd better get to play Spain in the semi... it's just possible I've said that before.

The Portugal Germany game should be interesting too, though. I cant see Ballack reacting too kindly to the Portuguese acting complement, not to mention Mad Old Jens. I hope Germany win it.

Omg I honestly can't believe this myself. I knew they could play like this, theoretically, they just never showed it before, beside a few minutes here and there. It's just amazing to actually see them do it when it matters :) loving every minute of it sofar.

I think Holland -spain match up whereever it occurs will decide the tournament.
Likely a terrible prediciton but we'll see.
Loved the italy romania game, I hope to god holland ease up and draw wityh romania and italy-france draw, to see the world cup finalists go out would be fantastic

Italy vs Romania:It wasn't offsise.There was no penalty shoot.Great Buffon-best player.Toni bleah!!To sum it all we played just a little better than before and with a bad ref.

Netherlands vs France:Great Netherlands. France was destroyed though in the 2nd half of the first time she was playing well.Good Van der Saar.

Excellent, a Villa goal, an Ibrahimovic goal and a Silva assist. That game went well for me, and after all, that's all that really matters. :)

Good for you Toby.

At least I get to watch most of this game before I go to work. Between that and flipping back and forth between the U.S. Open, what a nice Sports day. I'll miss the NBA Finals though....perhaps I can sneak off at work and catch minutes of it :p
