I must admit that the archetypes are getting... blurry these days. since more and more often players play in teams in several countries in their careers they are influenced by different sport cultures, and, slowly, it seems teams are getting more and more similar to each other, the only difference being the proficiency at the game and endurance, as well as physical predisposition (I'm not sure if it's a word in english, is it? :/). Germans are often playing lively, offensive football, Greeks went into a defensive bulwark, Poles run around like headless chickens without any real idea about what they want to do... etc. deviation. uniformity? to be honest, in this Euro so far, I've seen little variety between teams save for Greece who have been overly defensive, all the others seemed to try a very similar thing, just with different range of success...
at the very least tho archetypes still apply in volleyball

Im a bit annoyed this is a group match and not a knock out stage, the extra time in this game would be pure win.
I think Ive enjoyed watching this game the most so far, just because it was so strange, tense and even.

How sweet was that? Swiss out. Vorkan the Vulcan in turkish goal did himself no harm whatsoever. i know the goal was a deflection but respect for pushing till the end.

Since only 3% of Turkey is in Europe I think only 3% of the team should be allowed to play, say... Nihat's legs.
It's a shame for the tournament that the Swiss are made of purest fail, I hope it doesn't signal the begining of apathy for (one of) the home nations fans, it would be a shame because game for game, so far, I'd say it was one of the most promising tournaments in ages.

Amusingly, they did, actually - he turned them down for "personal reasons."
