"I think i was a bad person before. Before this time. I do not try to be good now but i am not bad. Perhaps if i try harder i may get a better hand dealt next time? But surely that makes it pointless? Perhaps i am good. Just good at being pointless. But that would make me bad. Bad at having a point. Ah…. I see now. I was nothing before, I am nothing now. I am bad purely because im pointless. "

Only if you fail to pay tribute to the last Malazan contest winner. *nods head intelligently*

Yes...this time I'll win.
Good luck, everyone.
And why don't you guys use Adblock Plus or something similar in your browsers? If not for your complaints, I'd have never even known Pat had an ad up.

uhhhhh I really hope to win this one, students have no money
And I want to read this book so bad, plus signature from S.E would be like the best present ever, would certainly make this year suck a little less. Thanks for making such a competition pat.

I'm in! I so want a signed SE book, as going to the UK just isn't in the cards!

How are the winners selected, randomly from all the mails?

Well, first, they choose me as a winner. Then they randomly select the others out of a hat!
I'm pretty sure that it's a random selection thing. Possibly done on the computer. Possibly they print out all the names.
I don't think there is any other way really.

The fact that they ask you to add a username and any forum you frequent suggests to me that there may be more to it.
Of course that might just be statistics.

If you're a good-looking girl, you can offer yourself as a bribe! Otherwise, I only accept cold hard cash. . .
120 pages into TtH, and I'm really loving it so far! But I'm missing three stupid pages, and they have to do with Kallor! Damn, I just have the last paragraph, so I don't know what's going on with the High King. . .

I see lots of winners who have no affiliation to any message board groups...more than those who do give a username/favorite site even.
