This is the second poll I see you make today kage and again you leave out the "other choice" option. The title of the thread is also a bit misleading as "law shows" has me thinking Ally McBeal, Boston Legal, Shark
For a crime series like the ones above I'd had said NCIS and then perhaps Murder by Numbers. Followed by CSI, it's damn good.

There is no "other option"
Lets say you pick ten options. You then put nine names and the tenth you call "Other shows".

The Shield, hands down.
Also, Homicide. Largely hailed as the greatest crime show of all time

Although I haven't seen the conclusion to it yet, I'd give my vote to THE WIRE if i could.
If we were allowing British shows, I'd give a shout to INSPECTOR MORSE since I always loved that show.
But off the list above, I'll go for LAW AND ORDER (The original series).

Ah, Murder She Wrote.
They actually used my uncles pub as a location when doing an episode in Ireland. It was a truly horrendous episode with all the bad Irish accents being put on by the actors. Still the locals got a real kick out of seeing their village as the setting for an american tv show.
But for Murder She Wrote as a show, I always found it slightly odd that no-one ever commented on how many people died in that small sleepy little town of Cabot Cove. They must have had a murder rate to rival Detroit!!!!

Also if I saw Jessica Drew coming my way I would had run in the opposite direction, people die left and right in her immediate vicinity. In the olden days they'd burned her as a witch

@Apt - Don't like being pedantic but i think you are mixing up a couple of different super sleuths / crime fighters with the name JESSICA DREW
Jessica Fletcher = Murder She Wrote
Nancy Drew = Part of the Hardy Boys stories and also her own show.
This was the TV of my childhood.

Hands up! Thread Police!
I pick Law and Order. Though I don't really like any law/crime shows.
CSI I have a particular hatred for.

Well, it annoys me to look at the pole and not be able to click anything, because I'll be damned if I'm giving my vote to a show I don't even like that much
I like CSI, its pretty and dumbed down so that I can sit and watch it with my stepmom without her going "what's that? How do they do that?" every five minutes
EDIT:
My mistake. I admit it's been awhile since I last saw a show.

Which is it? Law show or cop show? Ugh! I hate Law and Order...probably because American television is plagued by reruns of this show and its never ending permutations. I hate CSI too. I like Dexter, Bones, and The Shield.

I like Bones best, always makes me laugh!

ah well, i voted for Bones as i find it the funniest of the above shows.
Thats right, i voted based on which show amuses me the most.
