Absolutely!!! The Wire is much better, but NCIS is enjoyable.

My wife and I love NCIS, and Criminal Minds. In fact, we've decided that if we ever get a dog (or any other pet for that matter) we're going to name it Dinozo.

We started watching The Mentalist this year, and that show is good, I'd reccomend giving it s shot.

As for CSI Miami, just watch this clip and you'll see all you ever need to.

I think NCIS is the best of the "Investigative shows" (i've never seen the wire). But like all of them you cant watch it everyday or it starts to annoy you.

I cant stand CSI Miami. Listening to Horatio's quips before each commercial makes me want to throw things.

TV3 in Denmark runs an episode and yesterdays episode every day. I never get tired of it.

Sort of like Friends and MASH having run for more or less... ever... on TV2. They never stop, just start over at the end.

My favorite will always be Homicide: Life on the Streets, it was the most realistic show ever made.

I'm liking The Beast (although I don't think Patrick Swayze will make it to season 2...too bad, he's amazing in this)

Eh I personally prefer Criminal Minds, although I like both.

its amazing...I even read the book that they based the series on by David Simon ("Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets")...very good book as well.

NCIS ftw. never watched lots of it (incompatible airing hours), but I just loved the whole story between Gibbs and the Mossad agent. brilliant.
CSI is just ridiculous, and sometimes plain silly, like the episode with radiation, tremendous bullshit.

how can anyone possibly claim that this show is a better crime show than Hercule Poirot when played by David Suchet is beyond me.

I'd agree with the above, but have to add a little proviso. It's the best clean crime show. To understand this think of all the crime shows you can thik of, if you'd let someone say 10 or 11 watch them then they're a clean crime show, if you wouldn't (ie excessive gore, rape storylines etc), then its not. So shows like The Wire, The Shield (and probably the Beast from what I've heard of it) are not counted in this category while clean shiny shows like CSI (except possibly Season 1 of the original) , NCIS etc are. So depends what kind of mood I'm in as to which I watch.

the Shield is great...I've only watched up to season four, don't really want to watch season five and up because Lemonhead is my favourite character...
