Hello,
I've recently acquired most of the set of Subterranean Press Malazan Book of the Fallen (everything except MoI), and I have all Bantam Hardcovers. I was just wondering what you folks use to preserve your books. I'm looking at covering them all with removable mylar covers (no adhesive, etc) but am kind of lost in terms of what to buy. What dimensions of sheet or rolls did you guys find that works best? Thanks.

I must admit that idea would never have occurred to me.
Why don't you contact the mylar manufacturers? Or maybe even Sub Press, or an organisation that preserves books? Like an archive or library. I've seen library books that had nonadhesive plastic covers.

Whatever you do, respect the most basic preservation rule for all collectibles: never do anything irreversible. Mylar covers, cut to a number of popular sizes and with the first fold already in place, are available from library supply dealers and sites. Sometimes they come equipped with a little peel-off sticker in place, to be fixed to the inside of the wrapper on the spine; ignore it.

I guess this is not a good time to mention that my method of wrapping the covers in transparent sticky tape seems to do the trick for me.
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.
