What happened to "The Dark"

Whatever happened to "The Dark"? Probably one for the long time members. About 5+ years ago, I remember reading about a space opera web series that Erikson and others were working on. My memory is admittedly hazy but I seem to remember it was fairly far along into the production cycle and then I lost track. There was also an offhand comment in one of the recent AMAs on Reddit but no details..... Anyone able to fill me in?

yeah there was an episode - it all fell apart at the pre-screening or whatever event, when I realized that they had taken Steve's writing, which in this case was in the 'building to a convergence' vein and chopped and changed it so much that the convergence didn't happen. Friendships were broken over this but it was a good learning experience.

It's weird, having been involved with the thing as thoroughly as I was, I feel responsible for this - it's been bugging me a tiny bit all day.

It was going to be a sci-fi TV show written by SE and (I think) produced by Patch/Kallor if you remember him. Mal or someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but there was a balls up right from the get-go and no-one got paid for doing the pilot and a bunch of other things never happened (I don't know the full details) and nothing happened after that. A few people on the forum put money into it (I guess an early version of kickstarter or something similar) and there were T-Shirts and dog tags made for those who did give money. That's all that really came of it though What happened to the actors and crew I don't know.

As I said, Mal probably knows a lot more than I do, but that's the basics.
