You know I think that after Mockra' s introduction in MT the all story is full of the mind warren. I mean: Pearl uses Mockra, that Drek priest uses Mockra, ST uses Mokra to lessen suspicion about the shattered Throne of Shadow, the Claw uses Mockra to put the mob against the Fourteenth... Understood what I say?I t seems as if SE wanted to deline better this new Warren, don' t you agree?

Isn't Mockra first introduced in DG when Pearl uses it on Crust and Kalam?
That being said I wouldn't say its used more than say, shadow/meanas.

I'm not sure what you're getting at then. Its probably used frequently throughout the early series perhaps without explicit reference. SE just chose to use a Mockra master, Corlo, to explain it later in the series.

This is charactistic of SE though, explaining information much later than it was originally presented.

Are you trying to say that after MT the use of Mockra is more frequent?

Its that logical though? That something gets used more after its formally introduced?

For all we know mages could have been using Mockra in the books all the time before MT, and because the reader had not been introduced to it yet, we were ignorant of its use/presence.

Ruse is used much more frequently in HoC...
Telas and Thyr are used very infrequently after GotM...
Kurald Emurlahn is used much more frequently in MT then the others of the first 6 books...
Chaos is used much more frequently from MoI onwards...
etc.

Tennes. There's the 'Tennes' witch in MoI, but we never actually see it used directly. Interestingly, Tennes isn't even listed in my glossary of tBH (mass paperback edition with the lone double-kethra-knife figure).

Another interesting one: Envy in MoI says she used Poliel's warren to cast disease into the Pannions, but we never hear a name for Poliel's warren or hear of her plague being used by a warren in tBH.

Finally the biggest mystery -> Kurald Thyrllan and Kurald Liosan

Generally it appears that Kurald Thyrllan was the old warren of Light used by the Tiste Liosan, and that they left it and isolated themselves in Kurald Liosan, which is much more... 'sealed'. This comes from HoC when Onrack talks about how they've never seen Tiste Liosan, even though the T'lan Imass had often traveled through Thyrllan. Additionally, the warren Pearl and Lostara travel through would be KT - wherein resides Osserc's avatar but not the Tiste Liosan themselves.

However, there are some random references scattered about that would imply that Kurald Liosan is the true warren instead. I know there's one about 2/3 of the way through RG. I'll try to find it...

Strange that only the Liosan would have 2 warrens. I'm theorizing there is no Kurald Liosan, just Thryllan. 1 Elder warren for each Tiste race, the Imass have never seen Kurald Liosan because it doesn't exist to be seen.

Still, if you find the quote supporting the existence of 2 Liosan warrens, I'd love to see it.

okay, well when I get home I will throw up as many quotes referencing them as possible. For starts though, check your glossary of tBH, it should have listed "Kurald Thyrllan, Elder Warren of Light" as well as "Kurald Liosan".
