Hooray, the ground has been broken. Now a slew of US meetups will happen, mark my words!

No, you're right, probably not :)

Looks like you had a good time, and I spied a BBQ. Good people :)

The U.S. is just so big (that's what she said). I mean, we could probably fit about a million Englands in here... :)

I think this would work better if regional meet-ups were planned, and then the really-hard core people could get to a national location.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Well yes, regional would be by far the easiest thing to get sorted :)

Made it back. Total miles travelled 1600 miles (The GPS got us all screwed up so the trip there took 16 hours, the trip back only 11). No time to post pics or tell stories, just let it be known by all that Bubba beat me in arm wrestling and will face Cougar in a Pay-Per-View match in August of the year 2020.

Well, since I'm moving back to Japan...let's host the next one in Tokyo? That way EVERYONE can travel a ridiculous distance, no matter where they are from! :D

Here are the pics from our trip to go see the "Groundhog of Shadow". It was pretty anti-climatic(he wasn't even there) so I will try to arrange the pics in a dramatic fashion.

I just don't trust that animal. Something is wrong with it.
