'Will you two be quiet!' Hetan growled behind them 'I am about to die'
Humbrall Tarr swung about to study his daughter where she crouched against the barrels of grain. 'A thought,' he rumbled.
'What?'
'Only that you might not be seasick, daughter'
'Really! Then what--' Hetan's eyes went wide. 'Spirits Below'

gonna have to agree with hetan on this one, her father was just having some fun with her

If I remember right, there was a some joking going on at that point in the book...I mean come on, Kruppe was using Hetan. A little bit of comic relief.:(

Seasick my ass. We saw those Barghast canoes and heard how they fought the Edur, I believe, on the seas. Barghast don't suffer seasickness.

No sirree, Hetan got caught under that slimy fat man and he delivered. Long after she ascends and even once she becomes as Elder God, all the other immortals will be teasing her about Kruppe Jr.

'Rivers are for drinking from and drowning in,' Hetan grumbled one arm wrapped about a barrel.
Whiskeyjack smiled. 'i thought your ancestors were seafarers,' he said
'Who finally came to their senses and buried there damn canoes once and for all.' Hetan

sounds like Hetan doesnt like water BUT i suppose she could be assuming shes seasick.....not knowing shes pregnant?

i still think shes seasick though, im pretty sure there would have been a reference to Hetan/Kruppes kid/kids in RP

Ya, I doubt she was pregnant. But it would have been immensely funny on SE's part and true to Kruppe's character. Maybe if Krul had helped.....

One kruppe would be annoying enough...I can't imagine a second one running around.

I'd love it but I think it's unlikely, Kruppe's going to play too important a part to have to go worrying about schooling his kid in the ways of cunning.

Just because one belongs to a seafaring race or spend a lot of time at sea doesn't mean one can't suffer from seasickness. Vice Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson suffered from seasickness for the first week or so of each voyage.

Vampiregoat needs to edit his post and put SPOILERS FROM RG ON-TOPIC infront of the spoiler tag, else people will not know whether to read the spoiler or not.
