WOW! Crazy, roller-coaster fucking game today at The Stadium, but the Yanks even the series. Pretty good, even though the Angels basically error-ed their way into a loss.
Xavier Nady was off the chain. 6 RBIs

Getting down to the wire. Time for the Yanks to snap out of it and go on a tear...
This weekend was painful to watch.

Relief pitching anyone?
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Some timely/clutch hitting would be nice too. I've seen these guys strand more runners than I can count... A-Rod and Jeter are particularly guilty of this, it seems. Frickin' double play machines.
But yeah, they have no middle relief, and Mo can't be trusted to come into a tie game...he blows it every time this year.
They're just so inconsistent...

OK. So it appears Hank has conceded the season, should us fans do the same? It's damn tempting. No real 3-5 pitchers...no hitting.
Next season: Sabathia, Sheets, Texiera, and Manny.....

I conceded a couple weeks ago. They have just had devastating injuries throughout the year. I am, however, very psyched for next year!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!! Pavano comes back and gets a fucking win! Unbelievable. He's obviously the savior of this season....
Oh, my...I really don't know what to think of this. I just hope if the Yanks sign him again (highly unlikely) it's for the league minimum. He should be paying us for the opportunity to show prospective teams his chops...

Well, I'm happy for Pavano's 3 ER in 5 innings. A very Rasner like stat total. He'd have to show me a helluva a lot more to sign him to anything, let alone a league minimum. But at least the Yanks got a fairly productive game out of him.
Both Hughes and Kennedy are looking like busts at the MLB level as of right now... it'll be interesting to see the Yankes rotation battle next year.

I know, HD. Hughes has been getting pummeled at he AAA level; Kennedy is not Yankee material, obviously. Next year, we add Sheets and Sabathia...probably both DL bound, but hey...

Argh at the mediocrity that is the Blue Jays....doh! I even got to see a game this year at the Skydome, and it was a dull affair.

So the Twins won the series 10-8, which means they win the tiebreaker, right?
Apparently not. That means they get to play the tiebreaker game at home, right?
Apparently not. Why do you even play teams in your division more often if it dosen't actually mean anything?

Time to revive this thread, because baseball is awesome.
By that I mean, does anyone watch the Red Sox. They are my team and trying to pull of the comeback once again.
What do you guys think, can the Red Sox pull victory from the jaws of defeat for the 3rd time (2004, 2007) and win the series?

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."
I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I'm not sure the Phillies have a chance at this, the BoSox would have crushed them and we ousted them. Ah yes, gotta love those worst to first Rays!

The Rays need to learn their place... because it certainly shouldn't be in the world series lol. I guess we will see though, the Rays have power but the Phillies have a good team too, as well as more experience than the Rays

Apparently the Yankees' ridiculously high offer to Sabathia has been accepted. *Sigh*...this just makes us look worse, and, since we've shown just how desperate we are, every other prominent starter is going to want above book value for their services.
Taking a look back at the Yanks' recent off-season acquisitions and their subsequent sub-par performance, I estimate that CC will be a around a 15-10 guy next year.
This ain't the NL Central, FFS...
