I mean, sure, he was swallowed up by that slash of a chaotic warren or whatever while under an impressively magical onslaught by Tayschreen (needless to say I was as shocked as you guys to find out that Artanthos was none other than the imperial high mage himself) and sure he was given that offer to assume the title of the High King in the House of Chains, but we don't hear anything from him since.. Is that Tiste Andii lover of Whiskeyjack which I can't recall the name of right now still in the hunt after him? I mean, she must be really pissed off at Kallor, jeez, who knows how many centuries she spent in the dark to have love rekindled by Whiskeyjack, only to have him fall in an unequal duel (remember the commander's badly fixed up leg) and to make matters worse, in front of her eyes of all things!!..
Anyways.. these are some of the few things I would like to find an answer to. Or, at least, speculation.. if you wouldn't mind that is..

All the best :(

Someone from the board attended a reading at a bookstore (or something) and Erikson read aloud a couple of scenes from the book.

Kallor was seen walking or riding in a desert-like area. And it was his own PoV you got it from, so rest assured the reaper is out and about.

Reaver.

(new Abyss sig series, Leave it to Reaver, featuring Kallor)
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Ah, now I got it.. Well, glad that one's cleared up.. I'm still unsure as to what that Andii chick (forgive my insolence all you Andii fanatics) is up to.. and I wonder whether her brother is still with her.. I mean, she was second only to Anomander Rake, Hood damned Son of Darkness. She's a Soletaken too.. So is her brother.. Kallor must be worried out if his mind just by the thought of those too after him with murderous intent.. oh, right, Rake said he'd earned Drangnipur.. he he.. man, if I was Kallor I'd be scared shitless by now...

For Kallor, fear is not an option. He is Fear.

Yeah, Kallor doesn't really do "afraid". When he gets confronted by pissed-off gods and ascendants, he throws a tantrum and kills his followers.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Kallor isnt exactly fresh out of school, Shpetim. Let's get some perspective. He cursed three elder gods:)

you were shocked Artanthos turned out to be Tayschreen? or is that sarcasm? I seem to recall having my suspicions about it, can't say why as its been quite some time since I read it. I'm sure I knew it was someone of importance posing as someone else though.

Edit: the andii's name is Korlat :(

Even on the reread I was surprised that Tay was hiding right there under their noses.

What's worse, I read NoK, where he uses an alias similar to arthantos and AGAIN I was fooled.

Oh I knew there was something fishy going on, but as Brood or Rake notes at a gathering, Arthantos was most likely a spy/assassin. Sent by Laseen to keep an eye on WJ and Dujek and assassinate them if necessary.

Their guess wasn't that much off either.

Alright, I can understand that Kallor is probably a hard bastard and not so easily scared and all.. but I still think even he would pale at the thought of being trapped within Dragnipur for an eternity.. I think so anyway.. I mean, he's not immune or anything is he? Those curses from them Elder Gods insured he'd never Ascend didn't they? He might be hard to scare, but he still is quite easy to deal with otherwise.. at least he was in the MoI, have no idea whatsoever what his capabilities are nowadays.. anyway, Rake gave him pause when he tried to turn him against Silverfox I remember.. Don't know if he was scared, probably not, but he did back off a little there I remember. And no wonder at that... who wouldn't respect the Son of Darkness?

He was not interested in fighting Brood and he was scared of Rake. Everyone, including Brood, recogniced that Rake was the most dangerous of the players in the war on Panion.

It's not really ignorance, I fantasized about the scenario of Korlat helping Kallor to a quick and painful death too. That shortly after Whiskeyjack was killed. First time I phyisically hated a fictitious charachter:p

Then I got over it and just marvelled at how moving a book could be:)

I sure hope Korlat'll catch up with him sooner or later. Not that I hate or dislike him or anything, but mostly because I strongly HATE that he killed Whiskeyjack. I mean, damn me, I was more that 100% sure that the commander would win the duel the first time I read the book.. I cried inside when he died on Kallors sword. Kallor with the bastard sword. Heh, even the sword he has is bastardish.

I hope Kallor kills both Orfantal and Korlat, just to further spite all the WJ lovers :(

Ohohohohoh.. now you're playing with fire friend.. Remember that Paran did after all bless them, after they were interred within Moon's Spawn. Goodness knows what that blessing would do to a corpse.. I mean, it must have some effect doesn't it? Paran is the Masted of the Deck after all.. And he made a Grey Sword stagger when he gave her the blessing of receiving that leader of the Tenescowry character, can't quite remember his name...
