I thinks the Conan books are awesome. I found the entire series in my basement about 2 years ago and read them all. Most certainly not rubbish.

As a young child, I was raised on the Conan cartoon series.
As a young adult/now, I loved the movies.
All hail Conan.
I do hope my sons first word will be "WITNESS!!!!!!!!!"

You can't beat a bit of Conan, Robert E. Howards' Conan Chronicles r a must read, Jordan does a few decent ones aswell.
The other night both Conan films were on and i decided to watch Barbarian which finshed at 12'ish then thought 'wot the hell' and stayed up t watch Destroyer until 02:00 despite having work at 07:00.
Ithink u can guess from that, in my opinion CONAN IS GODDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!

I've just read the Hour of the Dragon by Robert E Howard.
This is a classic peice of story telling. It has war, magic, a quest which takes our hero across most of the world, more fights than most books put together, and lovely ladies who adore Conan.
Anyone else who has read it, did you notice any similarities between this and the First Chronicles of Druss the Legend? No? Well I did...

My Half Price Books store has that The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian in TPB for $8, and I'm seriously considering picking it up.

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"
