I received Blood and Gold by Anne Rice today. Probably last book for a long time, although I have seen Forver Odd byDean Koontz for 2.5 quid hardback today, maybe I will buy it for this price.

The Bonehunters! At last it is mine. I have read a quarter of it already and I am completely happy with it.
A few people told me they were dissapointed with it but at the moment I cannot see why. Hopefully it dosn't go down hill after page 300 :D

Well, I went and got A Clash of Kings from the local Waterstones today...it might be a mite distracting with exams coming up; I really should be revising.

Lucifer's Hammer, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The Darkness that Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker
A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin
A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin

Are on their way to my doorstep courtesy of the good people at the Amazon marketplace: A Storm of Swords for £5.99? (not including P&P or VAT, but still) I would have to pay £15.98 for it at my local bookshop as a consequence of its bi-partite nature. Definately a good deal.

Flashman by George MacDonald Fraser. I already own Books 2 and, er, 11 in this series, so I thought getting Book 1 might be a good idea.
